I don’t think we have to have the best line in the country to beat Bama...wasn’t our 2015 oline considered a great oline?
Bama dominates 95% of those teams you’re talking about and give up points with game well in control. I don’t think those teams get the same effort out of Bama that we do. And yes I want to improve our scheme to compete with Bama AND the teams that always have great dlines

And yes I think the talent O is bringing in will help as well.
I just think we will never have the amount of blue chip olinemen needed to run a 2018 style offense and beat bama.
At no point did I ever say our only issues on offense were scheme.
That's just a lie Rodger and first cut tell themselves.
We didnt have homerun threats at rb and we needed other wrs to step up but IMO those things aren't a valid excuse for struggling against teams that are vastly inferior talent wise.

Please find a post where I said our passing game DID NOT get better at the end of the year.
You just cant stand that while our passing game did get better, the garbage pass defenses also helped.

I don’t know how Arkansas scored what they did other than to say they played out of their minds while Bama was flat...it happens every year with great teams. I’ve heard Saban drill it into his players all the time. His biggest concern when returning as defending champs is getting his team to play 60 min every game.
If you don’t think I’m as frustrated as any other tiger fan about not scoring on Bama you’re wrong. I don’t disagree with spreading them out Hell I’ve been begging for that for years. I thought we spread them out in the first few drives and then went into a shell. Not sure if we were just trying to keep it close until half and adjust then or what.

We spread them out in our normal 3 wide set. I want 4 and 5 wide. Get those defenders away from the line of scrimmage. Make the defense not only cover endzone to endzone but sideline to sideline. The teams that have beaten bama aside from OSU running down their throat have spread them out made bama cover. Bama's strenght is their front 7. So IMO going max protect allows them to use their strength against you. Teams like Clemson(and yes I realize we dont have that offensive talent)spread them out and made bama use their secondary and they were exposed for it.
I think you want lsu to win every game just like I do. We just have different opinions on lsu football. IRL we would probably get along fine all the time. It's just football and in no way is it serious business.

Please explain how you expected 2014( a team of new starters) to have the same offensive production as 2013(when all were more experienced) but that isnt the stance you had for 2018 lsu.

Who says I just see poor competition?
It's part of the entire picture.
I consistently evaluate the entire picture. You consistently ignore elements that contradict what you want to believe.
When Burrow goes from 51% completion percentage vs Bama to 71% vs Arky the next week, I'm inclined to think that the level of competition had a little more to do with that than his improvement.
