Maybe. But I understand what potentially means.

So you're not predicting the offense will be good?

Based on potential, everyone is.

Execution will be the x factor.

Would you like me to define "potential" again?

Anytime you lost two games it's going to take an awful lot of luck to get to the NCG. This isn't subjective.

It's simply a response to the people who get upset about 2007, then claim being ranked 6th in 2018 means nothing.

And it just so happened that 4 of the teams ranked above us in 2018 all lost. That's pretty rare for a 5 spot jump in the last polls. Rare, that means pretty lucky.

If we were "lucky" to win the 2007 NC, then we were "lucky" to finish at #6. Remember, prior to bowl selection Fiesta seemed like somewhat of a long shot. We got it, against a team ranked higher than us. We don't get selected there, maybe UCF wins and we finish 10. What if other games go differently. A 10-3 team finishing 6th is pretty flukey.

2017 - UCF is 6th with 13-0 Record
2016 OSU is 6th with an 11-2 Record
2015 MSU is 6th with a 12-2 record
2014 MSU and FSU are tied at 5th with 13-1 and 11-2
2013 Oklahoma is 6th with an 11-2 record

Shall I keep going?

5 losses...the same number of losses each team had that beat us in 2007

Stop trying to make that comparison work, it's never going to happen.

Absolutely

I think you're getting the correlation now.

HC arent judged by qb production.
Good grief red. You're way better than that stance

Yeah so 2018 was extremely lucky. No skill. Was not a good season, pure luck that some teams lost and we finished 6th. So it isn't a big accomplishment.

That sucks, I thought last year was ok, not great, not bad. I was unaware that it was a lucky season. That's disappointing.

Les won 2 SEC, 1 national championship and played in 1. Went undefeated regular season.

So far O hasn't achieved a single one of this. How has he exceeded Les? I want to work for you. Coast all day and get paid

Absolutely based on potential. However I'm not promising it will be great.

You would too if you knew anything about the sport.

Everything is in place.

Every national champion needs some things to bounce their way to win. Not sure why you're harping on '07 as some abnormality.

Well then last year wasn't really a great accomplishment. Of course I don't dispute that. I dispute saying that 2007 was a "lucky" year while 2018 was a GREAT, AMAZING, PHENOMENAL achievement that proves O is an upgrade.

Again, this is all about holding O to the same standards, which many people don't want to do. Finishing 6th is barely an accomplishment.

Unless you go start out ranked in the top 4 and 15-0, you need a measure of luck to obtain any form of success. Even then, winning individual games takes a measure of luck. A whole season's worth of games comes down to a lot of preparation, execution and a lot of luck.

But on the whole those two guys got better. So now you're limiting it to just the two bad guys to try to make your point.

Then you're the one acting clairvoyant dumbass. You're touting future events that may not happen. I'm not shocked you cant admit that statement was utterly ignorant.

You tout future events and then say someone else is acting clairvoyant.

And we won a national championship instead of finishing 3rd in our division because it was a completely different year.

You cannot possibly actually be this stupid, but you're doing a great job of giving the appearance.
