so you're saying it's less dangerous for him to return kicks than shepard?

I just don't get this irrational fear of LSU fans and the best athletes back there returning kicks.

I agree Dig, he needs to be on the field in any capacity possibly. IMHO he won't be our starting full-time QB for a long time. He is too valuable elsewhere on the field. With JJ and Garrett at QB the next few years, we can definitely afford to utilize him in other areas.

russell shepard is one moderatly severe knee injury away from being completely useless.

how does that not make any sense.

Yeah, guess we should just sit him until the last game of his last year so we can win that one

im not saying he should never play. but in principal alone a kickoff return in more dangerous that anyother play.

if you run a sweep or a dive, no one's hitting you with a 30 yard head of steam. same goes on any pass play.

how is it more dangerous?

and if so, provide me information proving your point.

TIA

A. QB

D. PR/KR?

the question you should ask is injuries per plays run.

and if you can find that statistic then more power to you.

"not 30-40 yard running down hill" at full speed, no.

and when a reciever gets hit coming across the middle they don't tend to get chopped at the knees, they get hit about waist to chest high. and if they're in the air being hit in the knee isn't going to do ligament damage anywyay.
