Etling in he shotgun formation more and 3 WR minimum maybe 4 to spread the field

5 to 10 yard routes quick passes to prevent the pass rush and he can face his receivers not turning his back to the field.

I think Etling needs to see the play develop and throw quicker.

Etling for sure....he's a decent QB and experienced-not afraid to tuck it and that ball he threw 60 yards in the air on the button was impressive!!!

Etling has been good this year. Not his fault his line gives him .3 seconds to make a decision

Etling is terrible at holding the ball too long and not releasing on time. That's part if his sack problem.

1. he played the first quarter without a first down. That is against a Syracuse defence.

Brennan had much better playcalling given to him. Passes in the flat, etc.
I'm disputing this. Brennan ran the same plays as Etling. I've seen those same routes run and available to Etling but he doesn't take them. The difference is Brennan is really good at reading and finding people. He's quicker at it than Etling.

Worth noting though is that when Brennan came in Syracuse didn't even try and hide blitzs. They started sending the house to rattle him. Kudos to Brennan to not get rattled and find those hot routes. But Brennan had the benefit of knowing pre-snap that he was going to have to find that hot route.

All that being said, start Etling. 3-4 series for Brennan. Do not care about game situation. I like they put Brennan at a critical point in the game. It's also worth noting Etling came back in and led a scoring drive for the ice.

No QB would be good at LSU until we can find an offense line! Put BAMA'S QB behind our line & he would look like Etling. The offense line needs to learn to block!!! Maybe next year!
