Honest question, I doubt les calls them without a play sheet. It has to be the OC.

If he completes it on 2nd down, they probably win.

Yes, they should have run it twice, I totally agree, but if he completes it, Les has balls. If not, les is an idiot.

I really would like to know who calls the plays

Then again, even with this sub-par play calling, 4th and 16. I would like to think our defense would win that battle 99 out of 100. I don't want to hear that they are tired. One play to win the game and they couldn't do it.

2 mins. away from having 1 loss. Bama and Clemson!

Miles tells him run/pass in critical situations, no doubt.

Stud calls the plays but Miles shelters him and gives him a limited list to choose from.

I.E. Miles tells him he wants to run a toss. Stud looks at his plays and calls a running play.

You would think so but I sincerely hope there is doubt. I can't imagine another head coach handing the crucial plays over whenever he as the HEAD coach is ultimately responsible.

Who gives a damn who calls them? They suck at it and it needs to be fixed.

no one knows this.

people who hate miles will always agree that he calls the plays and then when they like the plays will say "i'm glad miles let his OC have some freedom"

it's all agenda based.

that said, that drop on 2nd down killed us. i would've sworn we'd run on 3rd down but what happens if/when we do and don't get it?

people will say "everyone knew we were going to run on that down!!"

Miles' fingerprints are all over the offense. He has final say.

On that 4th and 16 all credit has to go to Boyd. He channeled Tom Brady on that throw. There was no way to defend it. I only wish Chavis had brought the house instead of only rushing 4. That was a mistake IMO.

Boyd had pressure on him, threw a jarret lee back foot throw.

Put a damn safety at 15 - 18 yards and make them catch it at 10 yards, reid is running with his back to the QB, why even let the guy get behind you!

What does anyone really KNOW???

It's pretty obvious. Hell you can read Miles' lips sometimes. He walks around with a playsheet. He constantly has his finger in his ear listening intently when the offense is on the field.

It's not always, but I think Miles gets antsy in critical situations and can't help but to take over. That 3rd down and 2 call had Miles' quirkiness written all over it.

Not being a smart arse, but I don't remember him looking at a play sheet ever. I could be wrong though

He does it. Not all the time but he will when he starts getting antsy.

Went back and watched the play. Reid had man coverage on the guy. The receiver hesitated and Reid bit on it. Loston had deep coverage but was too far to get over in time. We did send 5 but one of the linebackers dropped back in short coverage for whatever reason.

The receiver did hesitate like he was going to cut underneath Reid but Boyd threw it beyond Reid and the receiver adjusted for the throw. It was a poor play by Reid but a heady play by both the receiver and Boyd. Reid has been getting beat on his aggressiveness all year. They may have drawn that play up based on watching film of him. Hard to tell if that hesitation was a break of a route or just a heady play.

I agree, Reid still should have let him catch it at 10 yards, why bite on the hesitation? 16 yards for a first. Also they threw to #6 like 10 times in a row, they have to know he is getting the ball
