or the Arizona St. game in '05, or the Miami game, or the UT game in '06, or the ND game, or the VT game in '07, or the SECCG with a backup QB, or the NCG against the #1 team in the country.....I could go on.

Well on that basis...i guess Saban's a moron. If you need some help, go watch the Iowa game in '04.

Choctaw, certainly no coach fears another on the surface. But underneath they're concerned. Lately, Les hasn't made a habit of out coaching SEC opponents. All coaches are concerned when facing Nick and Urban. Call it what you will, if not fear then what?

Really? Did you happen to record the conversations or save the emails when they told you this?

Look...i understand you hate Miles, but don't just make up random bullshite to try to get your point across.

I love him, but I also realize that he might have to go after this season if the offense doesn't dramatically improve.

He's made some blunders, but there ARE a few things he's done that I loved...
he stood up and made the "damn strong" speech on LSU's behalf, not many years after Saban split for the Dolphins (I think we all felt we were getting dumped again).
He kept us in the top 5 a few years running.
His teams drilled a couple of pompous big-name schools in bowls (Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State), and had there been a decent field this year, I think he'd have done it again.
He owned Auburn (Saban didn't), so I bet Tuberville didn't love him.

No, all you need is common sense. Unfortunately you have, Uncommon Cents, so I can see why you have a problem comprehending.

What's to comprehend? You don't provide any evidence other than your own shallow understanding of LSU football and big time football in general. Not much to comprehend there. You have no clue and to cover up that glaring hole in your intellect you chose to atack Miles. Your understanding of the sport is paper thin and saucer shallow. You have to try to save your faltering ego some way. I guess if hating Miles keeps you from some violent encounter with a citizen, it serves a purpose. Not a pretty one.

die hard, see you're an idiot. we have out recruited most SEC teams and have a great SEC record since Miles came on board.

Don't be such a douche.

If he wasnt such a good guy nobody would "love him", deny it and you're lying to yourself. I don't hate him, but I think hes done an average job with the talent hes recruited.

I think most will kind of lean one way or the other based on this season. If LSU finishes 119 or whatever again in total offense then there is something wrong, considering the talent on the field and 1 more year of experience for a lot of the key players. He shouldnt be on the hot seat yet, this year will determine a lot in the eyes of those making the decisions IMO. No coach will come to LSU if Miles doesnt get 2-3 years realistically. Pretty awful precedent to set if you fire a guy who won you a national championship less than 5 years ago

Is Miles the greatest coach in history? No! Is he one of the best coaches in LSU history? Maybe! His record is one of the best. He is one of LSU's best recruiters ever. The prospects and players love him and he loves them. He has great character, runs a clean progam and has a great desire to win. Has he made tactical mistakes on the field? Absolutely! Can he eliminate them in the future? Only time will tell.

I like the man! I hope he proves all the naysayers wrong. If the QB situation gets better in 2010, the Tigers have a chance to go all the way. I don't expect it, but I wouldn't bet against it!

I like Les Miles and what he has done at LSU. I don't always like what he's done in the games but I give him at least this year before I start disliking him.

I'm suprised anyone would either love him or hate him based just on his being a football coach. That's kind of disturbing.

He gave 'em a chance to win that one too, last minute heroics. The receiver Russell was throwing to wasn't the one who caught the pass, remember?
And what about the UT game the year before...blowing a TWENTY-ONE POINT LEAD? Sheesh, he's a doozer alright.

I love Miles. I love Miles because I was in the P-Mac when he was introduced and the man was truly thrilled to be here. Not only that, when he had the opportunity to take his"dream job" he stuck with us. He cares about this team and this community, and the man won a National Championship. Don't feed me bull shite about Saban's talent. That is a contradictory statement by the same people who say that we have all the talent in the world now and not the coach to do it. It's college football. Get the frick over it.

Lacour: And how do you feel about President Obama?

i didnt' vote for obama, but i feel he is doing the best he can after george f(ucking) bush destroyed america. george f. bush destroyed the economy, gave energy (read BP, Halliburton) a free pass to destroy louisiana, started two wars and is responsible for almost 10,000 american soldier deaths. lacour, do you really want to make this a political board. you f'n looser.
