Pete...We would fill the JM Parker AG Center to watch Pete and the JV squad play then when the Varsity squad showed up for their game everyone would leave...

Pistol was a true magician on the hardwood and really beyond his years!! He was so special! We probably couldn't appreciate how good he was at the time but was so much fun to watch! Shaq on the other hand was a great Tiger also as we all know and proved it beyond a doubt in his years outside of LSU as a pro. Shaq was lucky enough to be on the floor with several other gifted players such as the likes of Stanley Robert’s and Chris Jackson. However —— Never has any LSU athlete been the Ambassador for LSU like SHAQ has been — hands down!! The only help that Pistol got on the floor was from Apple so I’ll go with Pistol but Shaq was in a league by himself as well!!

For my money, it's Pistol Pete. Many of us never had the opportunity to see him play but those who did say he was simply unbelievable to watch.

Pistol Pete was a true talent
I saw Shaq many times shooting airballs from the free throw line

Pistol Pete 100%
