The first concern should be winning the SEC west. This year's national champions couldn't do it.

If we lose an early game in the season we might be able to climb back to the #1 spot. Hopefully we won't lose one badly later in the season. with USC back the equation changes too.

LSU's schedule is traditionally back-end loaded (Alabama and Arkansas). Bama will have a fairly young defense loaded with 5-star talent, so by the time they get to the LSU game, they'll proabably be playing pretty well. Arkansas will be stronger on offense with the return of Davis, but I don't know about their defense. Add in South Carolina with the return of Lattimore and LSU has a tough row to hoe. As much as I would like to say they'll be back in the BCSCG, I just don't see it right now. How many SEC teams have made back-to-back appearances in the BCSNC?

We've got as good a chance as any team out there and with a significant upgrade at the qb spot and another dominant o-line, this team will be even better next year.

We're pretty much the consensus #1 team in the early, early polls for next year and the September schedules sets up nicely for breaking in a new qb. Tough stretch in October(USC at home, UF and A&M on the road before the bye week leading up to the Bama game.

We will be 11-1 or better in the regular season and that will get us to Atlanta with a date in Miami on the horizon. Gonna be another exciting season for our Tigers in 2012.

omg,
how to live in the moment, the power of now, or one day at a time, when you are living in the future?

cool the jets, young man.
enjoy the moment.

you have just seen soooo many hurt and damaged people who have just wasted their lives living in the future.
expectations are just resentments waiting to happen.

if you take games one at a time, it allows you to live in reality.

Dude, if you're living for today you need to be on the recruiting board. That's the only football business going on TODAY! That's reality. Put me down as planning for a future BCSNC - January 2013.

PS: I plan on being in Omaha in June.

Not to be the one to pee in the punch bowl and I guess that is what Im doing. I do believe we have the makings to get right back into the MNC but I do believe that Auburn and Florida will be better and those games are at their venues not that it always poses a problem just think they will be much better. Spurrier and USCe looks to be much better than when we have played them in the past. i believe that this will be a very pivotal game during the season and our favor is the game is in Tiger stadium. Bama, even though I think will be down, there still Saban coached and we know they will be ready to play. I dont like playing MSU, the weekend after Bama. I know im one of the older fans and remember all too well John Bond and their triple option giveing us fits after playing in a very emotional game against Bama. At least the MSU game is home after playing Bama. All in all with better QB play in Mett than what we have seen in JJ , I think we can be back in Miami, I just wouldnt bet the farm on it at this point. I really think Petrino and Arkansas will be the real deal this year with Wilson returning and we have seemed to always have trouble in Little Rock even with some of our best teams. Here's to getting back to Miami and hopeing that we do get there.

I think LSU goes 11-2 or 10-3 next year with the bowl game included

When you look at it on paper, it's almost too easy to pencil in LSU in the NCG. That's what makes me think they may not make it. Usually when we see teams that are favored to make it 11 months before the game is played, they don't.

That being said, I dont know who is gonna beat them. Bama and Arky are the only teams who have a chance and I really don't see that happening.

LSU vs USC/ORE winner in the NCG

honestly
Honestly? I hope so. But honestly, I have no idea. Lots of variables in and/or out of LSU/*CLM's control before we get that one. Up until JJ got back into the mix, LSU was playing lights-out football. Once he got in, LSU began a slow slip back into the less-productive offensive patterns of the previous two seasons -- relied more on D and ST, and less on offense to win. Then came Bama and we had nothing to work with, and were given no adjustments to change that. So with *CLM, I just don't know what to think about Miami.

No.

Will win the SEC but someone else will be there...time for a change of guard.

It's getting very boring with the SEC winning the BCSNC EVERY year.

Could we make it? Yes. But its hard as hell and alot of things have to happen during the course of a year to make it that far.

That's what everyone was saying last year. And the result? TWO SEC teams in the BCSNC. That said, USC probably has the best chance at knocking the SEC out of the throne.

Yep, Nov 3 is gonna be epic. LSU-Bama is on tv at night and ABC will probably put USC-Oregon on opposite it.

It has to be a very long shot unless the QB can play. Too many variables work against consecutive appearances, despite what everyone views as an "easy" schedule. All this makes the mess that Les created Jan 9 that much more intolerable.

Florida will be a close game : Muschamp will have a better defense

South Carolina : Spurrier always has something up his sleeve . could be close

Alabama : close game

Arkansas : Petrino will be gunning for LSU

its possible LSU could lose three or four games next season. the SEC was down this year and will be on the up swing next season

*If Mettenberger goes off next season then who knows what happens.
