Maybe I am kind of crazy, but I was thinking it was mainly on the defense.

I always thought Landry was a much more physical receiver. He didn't just make big catches but he blocked well downfield. I know everybody still remembers his hits on kickoff his freshman year. So I always thought he was better built for the NFL.

Out of high school I suspect most people thought Jarvis would be better (even if they won't admit it now). Jarvis was a five-star recruit and considered one of the gems of the LSU 2011 class, along with Lael Collins and Anthony Johnson. Odell was a talented player (4 star by most services) but somewhat of an afterthought considering who he came in with. However Odell's freshman year he broke the starting lineup while Jarvis made his name on special teams. I think the thing that really separates Odell and Jarvis is Odell's elite athleticism. Jarvis isn't a terrible athlete either, but Odell's vertical, speed, and big hands make him such a big play threat. Jarvis arguably has surer hands than Odell but usually can't create the separation Odell can or highpoint the ball like Odell. Jarvis is the more physical of the two. Go look at some of his special teams highlights his freshman year and you'll see some impressive hits for a WR his size.

I've always liked Landry more as a WR when at LSU. He seemed to be the one who was the go to guy for Mett. OBJ isn't a slouch either. I realize I'll get killed for this, but I think BOTH could use a better QB throwing to them. Especially Landry. But Eli has been off his game the last few yrs and really has thrown some awful passes/games.
They're both great pro players. I wouldn't mind seeing OBJ start returning punts too.
