Kiffin isn’t coming here. I also think won’t go anywhere, but will get a huge raise. He’s doing well at Ole Miss and the pressure is less there. No need for him to leave.

Almost every coach worth having will be playing in December. NFL as well so I don’t see the point.
It’s going to come down to if they offer and if he really wants the job. When those huge amounts of money are thrown around I doubt a few million dollars over 5 years keeps you from a job if you really want it

Honestly I’d be hesitant to give any coach that kind of guaranteed money. It’s just too risky. You’re giving him no incentive other than maybe he wins a championship. He has a great chance at Ole Miss as it is. History and tradition aren’t what they used to be and the fact is, LSU isn’t as easy of a place to win at as we thought. We’ve sucked since 2019.

The one reason he might come here is because of Tiger Stadium and the fans.A couple of time this season he has had to pretty much beg OM fans to buy tickets and support the team.For a HC to do that tells me he isn’t happy with the Hoddy Toddy fan base.

I always wanted Lane here. He was might first choice 5 years ago. We passed over him twice when he 100% wanted to come here. He will leave us at the altar this time and either stay at OM for the comfort or go to Florida for the final payday.

The fans pour out of the stadium by mid 3rd quarter, even when the team is winning except for 1-2 games a year.
