Who Carries More Weight ABC/ESPN or CBS to determine BCS Pairings?

This is a continuation of the BCS Discussion, but an interesting side note. Assuming LSU beats Arkansas, Bama beats Auburn and OSU beats OU, it will be between Bama and OSU to play LSU for the Championship.
To make it more interestesting, Stanford loses to ND and Va. Tech loses to either Va or Clemson.
Now going into the final weekend, LSU plays UGA in SECC and OSU plays OU for Big 12 Championship. Because the OSU-OU game is on ABC, I predict ABC and ESPN will be pumping the shite out of that game and declaring OSU to be a worthy title contender since they lost on the road the day after their WBB Coach was killed in plane crash. My money is on the hype machine of ESPN to convince enough voters (25%) needed to switch their votes, since OSU will already be ahead of
Bama in the computers.
Contrary to many on this board, I wouldn't want to be in the Gumps shoes praying for the votes. Especially since they will be sitting home that weekend and the other 2 games will be getting continuous coverage...

As crazy as it sounds Bama has the easiest road to the BCSCG

Not too sure. They could be on the outside looking in very easily...

Agreed, but OSU inching them out would be
Oh the meltdown would be so grand!

Just think, if we had an 8 team playoff, this week would mean jack shite.

I've always been a proponent of a playoff, but damnit if the BCS doesn't always seem to work itself out and the best 2 teams play for the championship.

I agree with your assessment, the anti-rematch sentiment is growing.
While Bama has a great "brand" and incredible TV draw, the hype and National media will be anti rematch, especially if LSU is undefeated.
Most voters will realize that Bama had their chance and may likely vote OSU into the big game.
If so, it makes for a potentially better TV matchup, as the nation would not want to see another "defensive" struggle.
I think you are on to something.
I would love to beat Bama and Saban again, but most people realize that Bama had their chance AT HOME and therefore the anti-rematch sentiment will only grow over the next two weeks, especially if we remain undefeated.

I think a lot will have to do with the scores. If OSU takes OU behind the wood shed and it's a big blowout and BAMA only wins by a touchdown or less then voters are going to start looking harder at OSU.

Yeah, but ironically all of the talking heads have declared Bama in with a win in the IB, and most of their fans (not all) automatically think they are in with a Win. The meltdown that would occur in Gumpland would be epic if this occurs...

Bama plays Saturday and is done. OSU/OU play December 3rd. The BCS Pairings come out December 4th. Advantage OSU
