Play calling, limited playbook, predictability.

What play call is going to compensate for the DL getting constant penetration on run plays, constant pressure on pass plays, and do it in such a way that it's not predictable? (i.e. screens and draws)

If I'm a recruit and I'm watching the game last night, I'm not asking why didn't see see the TEs get more involved (when we have evidence of bad drops and fumbles), or why we didn't go to the wildcat (taking Dural, and the #1, and #3 freshman WRs in the country out of the game)... I'm asking why couldn't we pick up 2 yards on four tries? I don't care if everyone in the stadium knows it's a FB dive. Championship teams get those yards.

If the lines did their job, we blow State out of the water. Instead, their lines did their job, and we were scrambling from 24 down with 9 minutes to go.

By the way, you don't think these problems are mentioned by recruiters from other schools? Of course not. Saban would never point to last nights game as an example of what a prospect can look forward to.

I think that if a recruit is going to be swayed by negative recruiting alone that he has no business considering a school in the first place.
