If they go to two out of division games they will definitely need to eliminate permanent opponents. This will probably piss off UT-Bama and AU-UGA fans.
It would take 7 years for a team to do a home-home with all the opposing division teams. It currently takes 5 years.
I am fine with it, but some people will be pissed. I would like us to pick up A&M and VT.

Does this mean an end to playing a permanent opponent from the other division (i.e. Florida) every year?
No, but Tennessee, Georgia or Kentucky might get the ax.

And FWIW, we were never going to play Towson. There are teams that are on the schedule that are replaced all the time. We were supposed to play USM for about three years in a row. They kept bumping it to the next year, then finally took it off the schedule altogether. Towson was a filler until something better popped up.

I wonder if there will ever be an SEC fan revolt for these OOC schedules. It appears neutral sites are becoming the norm for the best OOC games in the SEC (i.e., Dallas or Atlanta).

Towson was never just a filler to me.
That game had major implications.

I think they will find a 14th team and we will play the 6 teams in the West and only two against the East. I can't see anyone playing 9 league games and then the possibility of the championship game.
Cause who would play 9 league games plus a champ game...oh the Pac-12 does!

It's much more interesting to bring in ULL, Tech, ULM
Disagree but wish we still played Tulane.

So, no one has explained this to me. Are we going to have a 13 team league with an uneven amount of teams in the West?
I think we should boot Vandy out and Auburn should go to the East.
