Alabama and Louisiana have around the same or near same population. Alabama had 60 NFL players on opening day rosters and Louisiana had 59.

Whatever you are looking at is likely wrong or you are reading it wrong.

Alabama, Mississippi,South Carolina and Louisiana have all lead in NFL players per capitalize in the last decade.

All those states have 2 power 5 programs to split players between except Louisiana.

If there were no Auburn in Alabama it wouldn't even be fair for the rest of the SEC.

Mizzou...I almost forget that they are in the SEC....always think of them as a Big-12 team..

Clearly in football it is Vandy. As an academically oriented school, thy do,a great job.

Great baseball program. Basketball usually good. Football second tier. They did give ND everything they wanted.

The SEC has several states with uniquely different population areas. Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas and Florida are all states that off the top of my head have very unique regions. So criteria for least SEC would likely have to come down to how they handle Athletics in general, and I would go with Vanderbilt there, as they are definitely SEC as a school, but not so much in how they run their athletic department
