And why do you ASSume JJ didn't know the playbook?
quote:
Because he said so himself? That he did not know all of the playbook when he came in against Ole Miss and Arkansas.
Jarrett Lee had a full year's head start over Jordan Jefferson to learn the playbook.
Yet Jordan Jefferson is still starting ahead of Lee.
So I guess JJ was able to learn the same playbook in half the time.
Nice.

Whoever the coaches play
I quit rooting for players and only root for the team now. I do not care about whose name is on back of Jersey as long as LSU is on the front and helmets.

This statement is wrong
quote:
Jarrett Lee had a full year's head start over Jordan Jefferson to learn the playbook.
As a redshirt they do not learn the playbook, the practice being the opposing teams players and run the offense of opposing team.
Lee had from when his redshirt ended till the season started head start learning the playbook.

Jefferson had from after the Auburn game last season till beginning of this season to learn the playbook.
So Lee had basically 8 months to learn the playbook and since Jefferson took over he has had about the same amount of time.

Jefferson
How is this an argument?
Did you fricks not watch Lee last season? Did y'all fricking cheer for his 16 INTs and say "Well atleast he can throw down field!"
Jesus fricking christ

Believe me when I tell you........dont even try or bother with arguing with these people. Jarrett Lee has somehow, someway gone from being the possibly the worst qb LSU has ever seen to the second coming of Dan Marino.
Vice versa for JJ. Its mind boggling.

Both QB's are different and with the offense that Crowton likes to run Jefferson is a better fit. Unless he is willing to change his playcalling and offense Lee should stay the backup.
That is just my take, I do not have a favorite to start though. Whoever plays/starts I hope they win and put up the numbers.

Wow.
Just what can you say about this?
Willing to distort space and time to support your case--but you don't prefer any one player over another, huh?
Awesome.
Two Years > One Year
Period.

Well if you knew anything about what a redshirt actually was. You would know Lee did not sit and learn the LSU playbook in his 1 year of being a redshirt. I am sorry if you can not understand that much.

At this point, I don't know. When we reach the heat of SEC play with Auburn, UGA, UF and Bama we will find out.
JJ could improve, Lee could improve. We will know in a few weeks.

Did you play?
Do you even know?
As a redshirt player you are put on the practice squad. Thus each week you are watching game film of the upcoming opponent to pick up their nuances and plays. You are not sitting there reading and working on LSU plays. You do get to sit in during the QB/RB/WR/OLine/DLine/Secondary meetings but as a redshirt your principle purpose is to mimic the opposing players that the starters are to see the following week.
