Les Miles years around the Michigan talk
You had the Byrd catch, Florida game, Tennessee/TBob snap, Bama game, grass eating

The only redeeming moments in Tiger Stadium from the 2019 season was LSU destroying Aggie and Jordan Love's bitch arse

Was at that Nebraska 76 game as a sophomore could not find a seat not even standing room. Rusty blocked field goal was one of the loudest games so have to say peak was 70s.

Graduated from Lsu in 85. Worked my way thru college and was too poor and too busy to go to games until late 90s. The Faulk years were special to me. I still remember yelling Faulk em up from the upper decks. In the early 2000s, I started shelling out the money to get into the lower bowl and got hooked on the lower bowl noise. Some of those Sabin defenses really got the crowd going. The Les Miles 2011 defense created an amazing environment for sure. Each of those times were amazing. The Florida game last week was a good time. I brought 2 teenage grandsons and created memories none of us will forget. Don't really have an answer because they all have been good.

It’s fricking incredible how old the average poster is here now
There is zero chance that any game in the 60s or 70s was louder and more wild than games like 03 UGA or 07 UF
Zero. Zilch. Nada. None.

Wrong......1979 USC. Ask any player on that USC team and they'll teii you. Charles White, Heisman winner, talked about it till his death couple of years ago.

1982 vs Florida State with Bobby Bowden. Winner to the Orange bowl. I think we won 42-14. Such a great atmosphere. Refs throwing flags on crowd for throwing oranges all over the field. Such a great memory. Will never forget. Dalton Hilliard and Gary James.

Came to post this. I was in the GBFTL then, and you couldn’t hear the person behind you playing. And I sat in front of the drum line. As mentioned, 2007 Florida was a close second, most of the sideline seats still belonged to fans that showed up, not Bluehairs and corporate clients that may or may not be LSU fans.

84,000 in the stadium that night…
The box score shows the attendance was 82,390 (ref LSU Sports Net: LSU-UW Box Score 1983). The student section was one mass of humanity with all the steps occupied.
That was the record attendance until the stadium was expanded. After that, the fire marshal made us implement controls to ensure there was a way to evacuate in emergencies.
