I highly suggest you visit Decatur if you get the chance. Has a bunch of kick-arse restaurants and bars all within walking distance of each other (literally across the square from one another). It's my personal favorite neighborhood in Atlanta and the only way you can go wrong is if you choose to go to the Ruby Tuesday's down Ponce.
Brick Store, Leon's, 2-4-6, Iberian Pig, Square Pub, Twains, Farm Burger, The Marlay House, Taco Mac, Taqueria del Sol, Cakes and Ale, Parker's on Ponce are all right there a stone's throw from the square.

Couldnt help you there. I'm a single dude with no chirrens. There is a Taco Mac downtown inside Philips Arena (which you can access from the street). Might be your best bet.

World of Coke or GA Aquarium or The Children's Museum if you just wanna let your kids run around and expel energy -- those are all at Centennial Park next to each other
