Which choice below would make the biggest difference in securing a positive outlook for LSU this season if that was the only thing that could be changed.

Choose only 1

1. new head coach
2. new offensive coordinator
3. new quaterback
4. new offensive lineman

my choice would be #3

In the interest of ROI -

#2, which would alleviate the need for any of the other 3. Like a 4 for 1 sale at a fireworks stand.

I also vote #5 new fans. Easily the worst fans in the nation.

What coach in his right mind would want this job?

Perfect scenario in Baton Rouge -
undefeated, un-scored upon, national champion, fire the coach at the end of the year.

Do those chosing #2 believe that a new OC would (a) be able to tap hidden potential in our current QB's or
(b) that a new OC would simply gameplan around the current QB's.

If (b) how so?

correct answer is 3.

just think what this team would be like with a perdue-era drew brees under center.

a = b. Every OC should gameplan to the stregnths or away from the weaknesses of the team/QB.

I don't know how you plan around your QB throwing one-hoppers to WRs other than changing QBs. JJ seems to throw best on the run, I would start there. He also seems to be most accurate in the 10-15 yd range, step 2.
JJ has trouble throwing quick routes with no drop like screens or RBs in the flats out of the shotgun.

So, I make him play from under center on short throws to help get his feet moving. I use square ins in the 10-15 yd range and I use comebacks/hooks with him rolling to the WR.

The QB is everything, with RP last year we could have won the BCS Championship. Miles and his OC MUST learn to recruit good QBs.

wasnt he a miles recruit?

and what about zach lee?

No, it didnt work out well but I think they recruited good QB's one was just a lousy person and the other had too many options to pursue.

Although I am not a crowton fan based on stupid calls as they relate to field postion and time managment along with general lack of flow seen in the offense as a whole, I am not sure a different OC 9 months ago with the same QB talent we have could produce much better results.

I'll take number 2,

with # 3 coming in 2nd place,

but if I get only one I do what should have been done in the offseason and let Billy boy see what he got

Damn shame a year was wasted trying to strip JJ down from his GT form to what he is now.

This would likely also change #'s 2, and 3, then eventually 4, so no way it would be the only change.
