Then he needs to absulutly make a statement saying such.

"LSU offered to move the game here. LSU offered to travel wherever they wanted to go. UF did not want to play this game. LSU is not interested in giving up a home game to accommodate an assclown. Have a GREAT day. "

He offered to send a plane to get the Florida football team and put them up in a hotel in BR? He offered every damn thing he possibly could.

that's my point. A lot of people are blaming alleva, but I don't know what else he could have done.

Alleva is in no way the person who should receive the brunt of the blame for this fiasco - that goes to UF and even more so the SEC who should have stepped in sooner.

Where Alleva seemed to fail, however, as he so often does is in how he has let the narrative be dictated to him instead of getting out ahead of it.

When the announcement was made yesterday that the game would be played in Florida, the writing was very much on the wall that the game would be canceled. It's at this point that Alleva should have been on the talking head programs to get the point across that LSU wants to play this game, does not want it canceled and will do whatever is possible to play the game. shite, you could even send out Skip to remind people of how we handled a similar situation in 2005 with Arizona State.

That - and clearly only that - would have at least forced the SEC's hand a bit if you could garner support from the media. Talk to the announcers/reporters assigned to the game and really emphasize that you believe this game will be canceled because of UF's inaction.

Realistically, nothing probably changes. However, it positions the situation to reflect better on LSU (and has the outside chance of motivating the SEC to force a change should the media pay attention).

Again, this isn't Alleva's fault. But I do think he failed to control the narrative. Much like he did last year when he leaked out the firing Miles info which ended up blowing up in his face.

As long as we're blaming Alleva, can we also blame Les and Cam? Lou Tepper?

we did the same thing last year, against mcneese state

LSU's administration is non-competitive. More interested in off the field drama

He did all he could offering early in the week to host. He's already let the SEC office Sankey know they acted poorly on this behind closed doors/phone

Why is he not sitting in front of a mic telling our side of it? First thing Florida AD did was make a statement to the media and set the narrative that it will be "rescheduled". Nobody is blaming him for this, they're calling him a pussy for not getting our side out.

I mean, McNeese is a little different than Florida.

McNeese rode in that morning on busses with the intention to leave and drive back after the game. MSU wants to make as much money off that game as possible. The logistics of it were to drive back to Lake Chuck, then drive again the next day. And in the grand scheme, that game didn't mean anything to either team.

None of this applies to the University of Florida.
