WILL MUSCHAMP. Throw the check book at him
Muschamp was puppet for Saban.
Still, he's a good coach. His defense at UT doesn't look that impressive and it really wasn't that great at Auburn. He is better than what we have though.

Dude ain't leaving texas.
1. He is scared of Saban, reportedly. That's why he left Auburn for the same job in Texas. He knows Saban is going to be a powerhouse.
2. He may be the heir apparent if Mack Brown retires within the next 3-5 years.
3. If UT wins a title, his name is at the top of the list for head coaching candidates, not DC at LSU.

I agree, he isn't a long term guy, but he's still a hell of a coach. even if he was a puppet, he probably learned something

Bama QBs wish that were true. Seriously.
That was just Laron adn Chad Jones out playing them.
There was no creativity to that. Not saying it was bad, but we just lined them up at the line and let them know it was coming. UF picked it up Saturday. Ole Miss picked it up last year. Kentucky picked it up. Bama was the only ones not to pick it up on a key play.

Its about 10x better since he took over, though.

Probably true.

What happened to the zone blitzes? The delayed blitz (Lionel Turner)?
What happened to the fake blitz?
Fake the blitz with the safety and rush a corner?
Our only blitzes involve a safety coming up to the line or a linebacker letting the team know we're coming and where we're coming.
It's not that LSU doesn't blitz anymore. (Although they bltiz A LOT less) It's the fact that there is no creativity whatsoever. Watch Bama's defense play a game. That is a good defensive scheme.

Haha, nice.
No respect, I tell ya.
Muschamp has been a part of three spectacular defenses, and right now is taking a BAD D at Texas and turning it right aorund. When does this stop being luck???

No luck, we all know Muschamp is awesome. Some people say he's "Saban's puppet" but I think he's proven himself since then.

I said he's a good coach.
I don't know much about UT's talent on D. Is it weak or young? I do admit it's a lot better.
Although, Muschamp isn't a top 5 D Coord. in the country, IMO.

In case Kirk Failstreet didn't beat it into your brain every day last week, we start 3 Fresh/Sophs in the secondary.
We are young, but OU was that good on O IMO.
I was every bit impressed with them as people told me I would be.
It just turned out that Colt and our D were better.

I was very impressed with Texas. The only thing for them is that their schedule is so damn tough this year with Mizzou and Texas Tech and then Mizzou again in the Big 12 Championship. That's a tough road.

In those instances, yeah it was creative. Not saying I disagree though, the last few years we've horribly telegraphed our blitzes. See McCray getting beat at Bama last year, or the GW TD pass from Woodson against UK. Hell, see Harvin's 1st TD. I keep telling myself it'll be ok, but damn.

Uh, they did score a bunch of points on your D...
BUT, they did enough to win the game, and the D was the difference in the game. So congrats.
But don't tell me OU's offense is unimpressive. Not only does that ignore all the points they scored on your team, but it also diminishes your defense's performance. Gotta give OU props, they have a good offense. Texas had a better team though and made the plays to win.

That's fine with me.
I would hate to get to the end of the season and miss out on the BCS because our shcedule is questionable (2003 Miami, 12-0 Auburn), or make the game and have not faced enough adversity to compete with a BCS opponent(Ohio State ad hoc)

It was a good call, but it wasn't creative.
I'm not saying you have to be cute every play or every blitz. The key to being creative and faking blitzes or disguising them is to make the QB second guess himself on where the pressure is coming from. If you just line a safety up at the line adn send him full speed, then that's not very creative. IN the Bama QB case, it was just a matter of his line and RB missing the block.

In no way shape or form did I even want to make an attempt to suggest that.
When I said "I was every bit impressed" I was referring to the Sooners, on both sides of the ball.
Their D isn't what I'm used to seeing from them, but their offense is Top 5 in the country IMO

Taht was a compliment to the Big 12, not a shot at the UT football team.
I'm just saying they've got a tough road ahead of them. I hope they don't falter, b/c I'd hate to see USC leap back into it.

I'm not getting defensive. I agree with you, its tough, but thats how I have to look at it, since we don't play all these games on consecutive days :D
