I swear LSU baseball is the most clutch sports team in the nation. It seems as though we never lose big leads and we frequently come back from them in dramatic fashion. CPM is great and I don’t know what it is, but it seems he always has his teams fighting to the very end. I’m not sure how good we will be this season but I can assure it’ll be a fun ride. Maybe the Lamar game a couple of seasons ago. A classic early season mid-week showcase.

8 run against Lamar. 5 run against UNO last year.

Mid week games don’t count. They’re just a way for me to stop studying on Wednesday and then get mad that we lose to UNO.

Yeah Lamar comes to mind, but it doesn't happen often. The only other big lead I can think of losing was only that Houston regional game in 2012ish. That was only like a 5-1 lead.

According to todd politz, LSU has comeback from a 6 run deficit after 5.5 innings 6 times since 1972. Crazy to think. This one and Arkansas last year come to mind.

Tonight, Arky 17, Arky 16, and South Carolina 08 are 4 of them.

South Carolina 08? Was it not Georgia in 08? I may be remembering a different game. Thought it was game 2 of a series against the bulldogs.

East Carolina in 99. So that’s 5 since 99. Gonna need to fact check that guy.

They almost came back from way down against Georgia to tie it in 08 but ended up losing. Then the next weekend they pulled it off against South Carolina.

Crazy that last year everyone wrote LSU baseball off then they went to the national championship. Everyone on this board should be a coach apparently. Losing mid week games is not a big deal

Enjoy the ride and having a good coach in Marineri

Far from. He’s like an account manager for a product that sells itself. I would imagine he’s not much respected amongst collegiate baseball coaches.

players come to Lsu for the national attention, rising draft stock and stadium, not for CPM coaching. They already can ball!! He said this morning on the T Bob show he does not follow metrics.

Not going to deny he’s good with these confused 18 year olds. Although, I disagree with him when he indiviously puts blames on players which he has done many times in the past.

Some of you guys think way to highly of a program that meaningless 60 Miles away from The new Alex box. CPM makes $600k a year for a job that many can do for $50k

They came back from way down against an Ivy league school about five to six years ago maybe. I want to say it was Brown University, but can't remember for sure. And they had a nice comeback vs. midweek SWAC school around Tyler Moore's last year, he hit a big homerun off the bench to aid in the comeback.
