Jaime was a man. even if he was a dickhead
He was Crazy, he wasn't dealing with a full deck. He was a beast, have still not seen a kid like him who could go the goal like him. When he was on he was unstopable. The year he got hurt, that team was rolling and then he got hurt and they were never the same after that.

Think Jordan Jefferson's tackle in the Bama game that dislocated the linebackers hit...minus falling on the back of his legs.

Was it ejection worthy?
Let's put it like this...it was the best tackle made by an LSU athlete since the SEC Championship game.

Anyone who thinks that foul was a good way for an LSU player to show that he "gives a frick" about the game is an idiot! That was an embarrassment to himself, his team, and his school. What was even more embarrassing was the crowd chanting LSU LSU LSU while the guy was getting up off the floor a minute after the foul.
When I heard that trash arse shite I turned the game off in disgust that a LSU player and a LSU fan base in attendance has sunk to that level.

You have no clue why they were chanting LSU. Many LSU fans cheered when White got thrown out and very few booed or complained.
They were chanting LSU because the Kentucky fans were chanting loudly. It is pretty embarrassing when an away team is being louder than you on national television so the LSU student section chanted "LSU" to drown out the Kentucky fans. It had nothing to do with White.

uhhh ok so the crown picked that point in time to decide to attempt to be louder than the KY fans?
It sure cam across differently on TV. My guess is that there were bunch of stupid fricks like elleshoe in the student section that thought that foul was an impressive way for an LSU player to show that he gave a frick about the game.

the UK fans starting chanting "lets go blue" and LSU fans countered with "LSU". And yes, I'm still glad Malcolm made that play. You probably haven't been to an LSU basketball game since the Dale Brown era so you don't see the same shite we see game in and game out. Guys going through the motions. Playing with zero emotion. No intimidation factor at all...
Posted on 1/29/12 at 9:01 am to Elleshoe
yeah the day after my thoughts are pretty much the same. appreciate malcolm trying to show some emotion and make a play but couldn't have done it any worse. someone needs to make a gif of that, upload it to 4gifs and title it 'intentional foul fail'

I'll tell you what... I think it was Jones who booted up to Malcolm... he didn't really want any piece of White

I was happy to read Trent's comments about it in the paper this morning. He was none too pleased and sounded like there would be additional actions by him once he reviews the play.
And when he does reviewe he'll see what a truly bush league act it was. I'm really surprised at the folks that are still somehow lauding it as caring or whatever word is being used to rationalize a pretty dispicable act.

Glad to see TJ is not done with this. That was a terrible foul. Does the SEC have any rules for ejections? He could have really hurt that kid who will probably be the number 1 player taken in the draft while White will have to get a real job.

Not sure jr. but I hope we don't wait for anyone else.
Johnson's quote:
"I want to look at the tape. I struggle with that kind of play. That ain't good. It's one thing to foul a kid hard in the confines of a game going to the basket, but bottom line is you can't get frustrated just because he's handing you your tail and you can't guard him. That's not what we're about."
Amen Trent. BTW, he probably couldn't guard him if he was trying, but he wasn't even trying. It was pitifu.
I have my serious questions about Trent's bench coaching, but I like so much about his character, leadership and principal that I really wich he could make it here.
But, IMHO that decision will not be made this year. I think we'll make the NIT and that gets him another year. But next year will be make or break I think.

I think some of you are overblowing this. It was certainly a cheap shot but they happen ALL the time in sports. Even by other LSU players! I remember Richard Murphy diving helmet first into the back of the neck of a South Carolina player that was already down.
Should he have done it? No. But the guy didn't falcon punch Mother Teresa for crying out loud.

Well, maybe it's just me but I don't want that type of thing happening at LSU. And AGAIN, this isn't White's first time doing this.
I'm glad to see Trent seems to agree.

I think he deserves some punishment for it but I'm not ready to crucify him for it either. Guy let his emotions get the best of him. If we feel this frustrated imagine what those guys feel like. shite happens. I'm sure playing in a pick up game (or a HS/college game depending on your playing career) you've lost your cool before... That's all I mean. We need a guy who is physical down low but 1. Malcolm aint gonna be that guy and 2. he went about it the wrong way. But its a start
