Part of it is because so many students now are coming from Texas. They see all the stupid hand signs that the Big 12 teams do, so they think we need to have a hand sign too. Just make noise.

This is not true. LSU players have been doing this as far back as Honeybadger, way before O was on the scene. I can remember Olinemen throwing up Ls at the Arkansas defense back in 2011.
SLU has been doing it a very long time, I do not remember in the 90's when I was in school there but I do remember seeing it in the 2000's.

This is not true. You are the only person on here saying that. It didn’t happen. Show me a link of it. There is video for every second of those games

guess the picture proves me wrong. I stand corrected. .
but I was in college before them and we were already doing that at SLU. That being said I think your point was it was before coach O which you are correct
