In the second half, Harris was 3 for 10 for 38 yards, and the pick that pretty much turned the game.
This was with some runs to keep DL from teeing off.
What you're asking for would've been further embarrassment.

And also would have increased our chances of winning. Losing by 14 or 28 is still losing

We had 2 possessions after the pick where we forced punts in a 10 pt/game

4 of the 10 passes came on the drive after bama got up by 20.

With all their dline penetration, maybe we could have tried a high % pass like a screen, which we never run for some reason despite our amazing rbs

I feel like Harris has gotten a pass. He consistently speaks out on social media about being disrespected and calls out people who question his ability. Then on the biggest stage, he looks confused and timid. He lacks accuracy and touch, which are pretty important ingredients for a successful quarterback. Detillier and others have pointed out his long throwing motion, dropping the ball down in a windup (similar to Jefferson but not as bad). I think the kid has some tools but definitely has a long way to go. I feel like our QB recruiting criteria needs some serious adjustment. Let's start with accuracy, decision-making ability, and maturity and work our way back from there. Clearly the way we have been going about it the last few years has been fruitless.

I really feel bad for these kids. They have to take constant criticism from the fanbase, media, etc. Yet, the coaching staff rarely does anything to put them in a position to succeed.

I think the coaches got scared after the INT and that's when I think the game changed and we got steamrolled. They should have let BH keep throwing

They did - after the interception we called ten runs and ten passes, and that includes the two goal line run calls.

Oh really? Detillier said that? Well he is just as blind as u. There is nothing long about his throwing motion it's right over the top. Where has he consistently said that? Show me that one. We were just singing his praises a week ago and now all the faults come out bc our oline shat the bed. Man gtfo with that crap.

He's been pretty damn accurate the entire season and has shown great touch on corner throws and deep crossing routes.

Your assessment takes 1 bad game and ignores the rest of his season

1 interception on the entire season. One

His decision making ability has been a big strength for us.

The interception Harris threw was on a terrible play call.
His decision to throw the ball was more terrible. He could have turned up field for a modest gain.

Right, but he's a true sophmore, 1st year starter that was completely let down by his oline and coaches too.

not playing that south carolina game on the road meant we missed out on another true road environment. state was a good test in week 2 but syracuse was like playing in front of a loud library. the delay of game penalties we saw didn't surprise me at all.

Please tell me what is long about this throwing motion? Better quit listening to Dettilier and watch for yourself.

I'm just as fed up with the scheme as anyone, but this statement is asinine.

They were undefeated going into Bama. Is individual success more important than team?

This started with the farce of allowing a game not to be played getting significant reps on a Sunday from a coach and athletic director that refused to play mcneese in game one and has continued throughout season until mid season.
How many d1 programs bring along their qb in 75 degrees crockpot of a simmer? Maybe 5 of the 127 teams!!!!

True statements, but they just don't come across well. Kleinpeter is himself below average.

The ball drops down below his shoulder, a good QB with a quick release the ball stays up. I don't think Detillier is blind he's honestly one of the best talent scouts around.

Twitter, follow him. It happens then he deletes it.

The oline was bad but so was he, I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. I said he has some serious potential but there are definitely things holding him back. Maybe that's why we don't see more screens and intermediate passing, maybe the coaches know this?

When does the ball go below his shoulder. It's right there. No wind up flick of the wrist right at the shoulder. Dettilier also said that Harris would be the starter last year.
