Yea. Because Coach K wasn’t a West Point grad. He wasn’t the Team USA coach. Nope. He hasn’t been winning for damned near 30-35 years.
He doesn’t need to pay anyone. He is the best college coach to ever do it.
Go watch some of the players talk about a coach K. Watch some interviews from past players. He is revered by all of them.

Of course he would. Why would he take any money when he knew what we all already knew. He was gonna be a #1-#2 pick. Why the frick would he tarnish his name over what is going to amount to pennies for him? We’re talking millions in contracts. Millions in endorsements. It would literally make no sense for him to take money.
Now someone like Waters? Yea someone like that will take the money. He isn’t going to be drafted. He might just end up a perennial G-Leaguer. 100-200k is huge to someone like that.

He will be a power forward. He is only a “tweener” in height but he is 6’7” 280 and has Vince Carter’s vertical. He will do just fine in this small ball era with 7’0” like Naz Reid coming into the league that think they are Steph Curry.

K is all the things you said but make no mistake, he's paying players. He wouldn't be able to compete otherwise. According to your point everyone but him is paying and that just doesn't hold water. If these kids, and particularly the middle men or family, are asking for compensation from one school, what kind of sense does it make for them to take the offer from the only school not offering anything? Doesn't work that way. K is as dirty as any but he covers himself well.
The entire issue is moot if the people really want to know the truth. This Nike thing with the lawyers is the straw that could break the camels back. Only matters though if the evidence gets made public. Adidas wasn't bidding against themselves. It's been known for years that certain kids were going to certain schools based on shoes. Nike is the biggest, baddest of them all. Whos their top client? I'll let you be the judge. Don't be naive just because you haven't heard it on tape. Think Bama and football. Just because it isn't on tape doesn't change the facts. LSUs hands are dirty there also.
