Not that Crowton hasn't forgotten more than we will ever know...he obviously knows football. Just frustrating to see conservative play calling...even when effective enough to get wins.
I think the bigger issues are more philosophical b/w Miles and Crowton. That is why we are struggling to have an identity on offense. Last year we had one b/c our strength ( I formation power football) was also Miles philosophy. This year it is not and unfortunately, Miles gets the final say. It worked well in past, but it hasn't and won't this year. This year our personnel favors Crowton's style.
Auburn had a similar issue last year with identity problems on offense (Tubs vs Franklin) albeit with much poorer results. AUttied to run spread with I formation talent. We are running a little too much I formation with better spread personnel this year.
Just my observation anyway
