Hoping our player gets hurt. All new low there.

Keiland Williams 79 yarder vs VT in 2007? That's the only one I can think of.

I actually think the success of that particular play is the reason Crowton still thinks it will work.

funny, that play was the last time KW saw significant time that year...guess he did it wrong and it's really only supposed to go for -2 yds. Who knew....

Hey Les, So does that little stretch play with RS except that play actually gets us 1st downs and, heaven forbid, touchdowns.

Holy crap. Miles really is an idiot.

For those of you who remember the Stanford band of the early 1960’s - LSU runs the “Stanford” option.

Man when I think of the option, I can't help but think of Herb Tyler back in the days!! Since he last QB I haven't seen a QB at LSU do it any better. However, I always wonder what kind of option QB RP would have been if he had not been in trouble during his time at LSU. I did see some glimpses of him running the option and it looked pretty amazing!!!

1. the option isn't working
2. JJ shouldn't be taking so many hits

if JJ goes down then we have JL and a walk-on

I definitely agree with you! However, if we do decide to run the option, wouldn't you think that Coach Miles and Co. would be a little more intelligent and use someone who was a option QB in highschool such as: RS, Randle, or maybe even Blue? I would use RS as my option QB or wildcat before I consider Jefferson!!!

I'm sorry to say this, but "no". We ran the option a few times with Lee and he looked like he was running in quicksand each and every time.

If anyone should run it, it should be RS, but the only bad thing about that is that the D would know what was coming(might not matter with RS running though) our O is so predictable, i think we have been running the same 5 plays for the past 3 years

Tigerruletheearth, I wasn't talking about Lee. I was simply referring the obvious and use someone like RS. I don't like LSU running the option period. However, if Miles and Co. chooses to do as an option, no pun intended, then I feel he should use a QB such as RS because he would be the best option for the option, lol!

i saw some improvement. jefferson ran it beautifully probably twice vs vandy, blue fumbled one of them

I could be remembering incorrectly, but it seemed on that play the pitch came too early before Jefferson had gotten the defense to commit to him. Now, that is not to make an excuse for Blue not catching it.

It wouldn't have mattered on the one Blue fumbled because the TE completely whiffed on his block
