sad thing is clm does not care what the fanbase thinks
that he and Saban have in common

It would be one thing if he didn't win, but he does. If Les Miles keep our worst year at 8-4, and wins the west every 3-4 years, you honestly cant ask much more from a coach.

And, people in here can disagree all they want but A LOT of those fans/parents see what Miles did with Lee as an exceptionally poor display of character. That shite is hard to overcome.
Coaching decisions are always fraught with opinion. People forgive coaching frick ups. Prolonged and repeated shite treatment of a player? Not so much.

I guess you just didn't read the part about winning the hardest division in college football every 3-4 years.

A misstep is one thing - but what happened Monday and really what happened with the QBs since the first Bama game in November is not something that fits into the category I understand as "slight misstep" - more like a MAJOR SNAFU/FUBAR EVENT. January 9, Les Miles was not himself. LSU was not the team we've all seen and watched all season long. Something happened, or didn't happen that had them completely unnerved or unprepared or unmotivated (take your pick which). Alabama played well in November and they played well on January 9. LSU played well in November, but didn't show up on January 9th. Les Miles could help all of us deal with the debacle if he'd totally and publicly take total ownership of what happened and say something coherent.
At the slightest misstep...

I swear sometimes I wish les miles would leave so the people that bash him will realize the grass isn't greener. If we fire Miles, who do you think would be and upgrade. He just went undefeated while playing one of the hardest schedules in 50 years. Regular season of course. If that doesn't get your respect, there is nothing short of back to back natties to get your respect.

Chahlie Mac here we come.
I smell the old days raising it's head again, the days where Bama ruled the SEC and LSU was content to try and maintain winning seasons with the very seldom win over Bama.
Is that what we're ready to go through again?
I'M NOT...
I live through that shite, and I prefer to see LSU to stay on top of the CFB world, not relive that garbage. Lowering the bar does nobody any good, but your adversaries, and trust me, I've seen some coaches come and go in my life. Les will go eventually, and what will we all have at the end, but LSU. WE are the ones who are here through thick and thin and outlast the coaching personalities, and LSU is bigger than just one personality, aren't they, or are we committed to Les Miles?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we need to get rid of Les. We couldn't even if we wanted to right now. What I'm saying is we shouldn't lower the bar of expectation or expect the lowest common denominator as the rule.

What is acceptable to you?

You just said my thoughts exactly. Like a lot of y'all, the season was a dream season of FUN Tiger football. They won games not by the skin of their teeth, but like a team deserving to shoulder the burden of being ranked #1.
Then, the SEC Champ game came along. And something changed. Not playing Lee until the last kneel was both baffling and disrespectful. A serious WTF? moment.
The the BCS CG nightmare followed, and he really lost me. I used to defend Miles as a honorable guy although a quirky coach. Now, my respect for him as an honorable guy is gone.

Agree completely. Winning does not make up for shitty character. Never has, never will.
Unfortunately some like to win at all cost. I'm glad a sizable portion of our fanbase is not happy w/ Miles over the Lee treatment and quitting.

CMac didn't win like Lm.

Respectfully resign. I am a true LSU fan but I expect more for a National Championship Game.I am not blind and not not follow blind people. 13-0 is great but the game last monday night was total egomania. It was a national embaressment. He gave up and gave up early. Whatever his reason for not changing personnel it doesn't make sense and throwing the offensive line under the bus to cover his bullheadedness is cowardly. I belive his ego got in his way. There was no way JL was going to get in that game . No way he was going to let that happen. Being one of the top paid coaches in the country I expect way more.
I don't mind losing to a game team, and Alabama was one. But at least try and show some heart.

CMac didn't have the talent that Lm has either, not even close. Different coaches, and different times. What I'm opposed to is the mentality of accepting anything less than A's. You aren't always going to make A's, but if you shoot for B's and C's expect C's and D's.

Give JJ one more chance. This time as the OC.

God is my witness, I have NEVER been as embarassed and disgusted over the treatment of an LSU football player as I have with Les Miles' treatment of Jarrett Lee.

The whole matter of how he treated JLee since the first Bama game in November is another completely inexplicable Miles-ism that has earned him no points at all.

It'll be hard after what happened. He is too stubborn and will continue to make poor decisions.
