I agree but it won't happen. he needs to keep his michigan nose out of the play calling. That won't happen. He will tell the fans what they want to here then do what he wants , run up the middle !!

Are Louisiana people saying the same thing about Sean Peyton?
No. But the national perception of Sean Payton is different, right? Payton is an excellent Xs and Os guy, and he has been instrumental in player acquisition and development (for the most part). Now does he call some strange plays from time to time, sure. But that has not debilitated his image. Also, he is articulate and clear when talking to the media. He takes responsibility for losses and bad calls. That obviously helps.

he still has my respect, but I really think he is as hard headed as my 4 yr old. He had it in his head that JJ would turn it around and no matter how bad he played, Lee wasnt going in the game.

there is no comparison between Sean and Les

Les has many good qualities players like and respect him, good recruiter, led us to many victories and accolades.
Negatives stubborn, hard headed, rigid, infexible.
when it comes to making adjustments when it seems obivious to all that a change is needed.
Just think this thread wouldn't even exist had we won the BCS game. He would be considered god among men. Recruiting would be much simpler there would be no defections. amazing what he difference 14-0 would have made.

Les did a great job this year...the last two years this site said he had to win the West and the SEC to be considered a "insert adjective" coach at LSU.
He did it.
Any other year in college football, LSU would have a played a team from another conference. We just happened to play Alabama again. In a normal year, Bama is at the sugar bowl saying "What if" but that didnt happen this time. Tough loss but not the end of the program.
Les did this with 2 qbs...remarkable and I hope that Les has already earned the respect.

Seriously where are all of you people coming from?
How did Michigan get into this conversation?

In the Nov. 5th game, did the almighty Saban not keep trying the same shite over and over again?

I am sorry I can t support a guy that put that product on the field with 37 days to prepare. Say what you want about miles that was a goddam disgrace. I am ashamed to call myself an Lsu fan right now, I dont like feeling that way. Its like I just found out my kid is a crack addict, he is still my kid bit I am not real proud of him.

Les won me over this year. Due to question marks at QB, he chose to let his defense and his special teams decide games and he ran a conservative offense that didn't turn the ball over much. I thought that was just what was needed. More importantly than that, he made watching LSU football fun again. I had gotten to the point where it was a struggle for me to watch the team play. Les brought back the fun.
Then came the BCSCG. And all those questions I had in '09 and '10 came back to the surface. I now have doubts again even after the great season we had. So what does he have to do to erase those doubts? He has to do the same thing he did this year. He has to play to our strengths (whatever they turn out to be), minimize the weaknesses and have fun.

Nothing.
Maybe kick you in the balls

Someone would have started a threat about how lucky he was and how lucky LSU was to have won the game, etc. and found something to complain about.
Then most of the same people in this thread would have jumped in.
For an extremely imperfect state populated with amazingly imperfect people, LSU fans demand perfection.

I'm ashamed you call yourself an LSU fan. People like you is why we have the reputation as a fanbase that we do.

When have you been proud of LSU and Miles?
I don't hang around in here much but I don't recall you ever posting other than to complain.
Just come out and say that you find some pleasure in posting uncomplimentary stuff about Les Miles. Be honest.

Maybe Discovery Channel could make a reality show "LSU Fans" to go along with the Turtleman and the Moonshiners.

Would Florida, Alabama, or any other fanbase in the top echelon of CFB be any less critical after what happened in the BCS National Championship Game? I hardly think so.
Yes.
bullshite
UF or Bama is 13-0 and #1 in the country and gets their asses handed to them in the BCS National Championship game by a score of 21-0 with absolutely ZERO adjustments at any point in the game to change what wasn't working and you don't think the Gator or Tide fan base would be PISSED OFF and raising three kinds of hell of it and the piss poor coaching they saw?
If you really believe that you're living in a bubble of your own creation. I can tell you with all certainty that Bama fans would. I lived among them. They are no different than we are, perhaps even more loud and critical, and so are the Gators fans.
Fact is, it was embarassing as HELL and for that reason alone there would be hell to pay for what everyone in the nation saw as a piss poor coaching performance and no adjustments made by said coaching staff. If you don't think that Florida or Bama fans would be coming out of their skins right now burning up the radio and internet then you need to travel a bit more.

how about les and nick on wife swap?
Posted on 1/16/12 at 5:51 pm to 756
I can't respect a coach getting paid millions then quitting in the biggest game of the year.
Not trying to win the game in the 4th Q down only two scores is inexcusable.
