Why do you people always leave out the interceptions?
Not tryining to be mean, but football's just not his future. He should stay here, on scholarship, and get his degree and continue on with a normal life.

If he really thinks football is his future, he'd be better served going to a higher 1-AA like Appalachain St, McNeese, Richmond, Northern Iowa, etc. Those schools would be more than happy to accept him

.......realize that most people sitting in Tiger Stadium know much less about football than they think they do. Also, he should decide if he wants to continue to live out the dream that most of only wish we had a chance to do....that is, run out of the tunnel with an LSU uniform on. There is something to be said for good scout squad players (seriously!!!!)

Well I didn't intentionally leave that out. I was just looking for something and that is what I found.
I agree with you Int are an important fact. I believe, however, his multiple pick 6 INT are a direct result of what Louisiana Longhorn mentioned. The dude got thrown into a team GREEN. He was used to the gun slinger H.S. defense, etc. He still has this mentality. The duck that was just thrown up in the air was just lucky that our WR came down with the ball.
I also saw a different and better developed (i'll give you a slow development) player than we saw last year. I'm not defending either quarterback, but I am only suggesting that the terror that he still faces from last year still is in his head. I believe he will still develop?
Should he be our starter, that is up for debate. I believe our coaches are protecting JJ and all so as to build confidence with both sides of the ball. Its a shame that this is where we are but I believe we do have a strong team and much tallent to waste

Study and get on with life.

If he was my kid, I'd be proud of his accomplishments up to this point. He got to start for the defending National Champs. He got to win some big games (see Auburn 2008). He could have threw in the towel, but decided to stay here at LSU at the end of last season. This will translate to "real life" and help him succeed as a person for many years to come. Not all of us are born with NFL skills. Hell, I never played a down of football in my life. But I do know this, to be a winning QB in Tiger Stadium would have been a dream come true. I would say some of his dreams have been realized up to this point. If I were him, I'd stay with the team, get a degree from LSU, and continue to make those close to him proud... even if he never sees the field again.

If I were him, and I wanted a playing future, I'd transfer somewhere else....

move back to Brenham and go to work for Blue Bell

Mcneese will need a QB next year...

He should transfer to a small college where could play and be a star.

i dont know how hard he's worked
but i seriously doubt he's made anyone other than his mom proud
In case I need some low-rent to do some trash work no self-respecting human would do, would you send me your number so I can call you?

The answer is, whatever he wants to do. He's earned his four year ride to LSU in more ways than one. If I were JL, I'd ride it out at LSU, earn my degree, and use the hell out of the prestige that comes with playing for LSU (and not transferring) and make a buttload of $$$.

If he wants to continue playing, transfer. He could get a fresh start somewhere else; at LSU, he'll always have his past performance hanging over him. It didn't work out for him here and a change can do wonders for a person.

I believe he will go to FCS if he has any hopes of getting drafted.

Next time he's in the game and gets booed, throw an intentional pick six, pull down his pants and moon the crowd and flip everyone off as he heads to the locker room to exit LSU for good.
Nah, scratch that. Kid has way too much class to answer the boo birds the way they should be answered.

represent
suit up, tap the 'WIN!' on the way to the field and do his best.
He has survived the worst most everyone has thrown at him (us included) and come out with good character. If I were him, I'd stay even if it meant sitting on the bench looking like Rosa Parks on a bus....

If you transfer to I-AA, you can play for two years, but do you really want to be at the I-AA level?
Transfer to I-AA, He is never gonna play pro ball anyway. Why not go somewhere like Perriloux and have some success and be wanted?

Go back to Texas and prepare for a life of 40 hour work weeks like the rest of us.

Uh, Tavaris Jackson and Aaron Brooks played in the NFL. He definitely has a shot.
Oh and that list goes on:
John Fourcade
Babe Laufenberg
Sage Rosenfels
Heck, Brady Quinn was drafted in first round.
If he goes somewhere that gives him a chance to run a pro style offense and develop his football intuition, he may very well be drafted.
