Have you been better than Tennessee for the last 15-20 years? Mostly.

If by mostly you mean probably every single one of those years with only the possibility of this one being better than LSU.

However, as of late LSU hasn't, from a program perspective, been that amazing.

Yes, two very bad years, but given how many players were lost to the NFL (look at how UGA is playing lately after having it happen) on top of really good starters choosing to sit out, combined with losing people like Brady and Aranda that team had a prefect storm for fall off. No excuse for it to be that bad, but we didnt just win a title out of nowhere then fall off like youre trying to make it sound. We had plenty of good teams leading up to that too.

Also, LSU and Tennessee had pretty similar season results last year.

I think what many Vol fans are perceiving is that we are playing catch up at a better rate than those other schools around us. We feel like we're in a better place than UF, UK, SC, AUB, and honestly, LSU

Based on what? LSU is still out recruiting Tennessee, just recently hired a top level coach, and the team already looks better than the previous two. Tennessee has an experienced team on the 2nd year running their same systems under the same coach with a very experienced senior QB. So pretty good chance it waa gonna start off looking better than LSU under a new coach/system/QB.

Yes,Tennessees offense is very explosive and probably will be under this coach while hes there But Sumlin also had explosive offenses and could recruit good, didnt have A&M in better shape than LSU. And that was while LSU had VERY poor coaching.

That is the definition of mostly. I would say Tennessee could have been better in 09, 16, 17, 20, and 21. So, yes, mostly. As I said.

Your program hasn't been "strong". It's been decent with a magical year. You went 8-4, 9-4, 10-3 before going 15-0. Then a massive fall off. I didn't say team, I said program. Even with all those folks leaving it shows a lack of consistency in your program. Believe me, I know what that looks like being a Vol. You have been more consistent that Tennessee for sure, no one would deny that. Like I said, I would gladly have traded places with W and L records over the last two decades.

Not sold on Kelly. Honestly, only LSU fans seem to be sold on him. I think he will be ok, because he was just ok at ND. Not sure he is cut out for what the SEC holds.

Im glad we agree. In recent history, the Vols (LSU included) have had a widely inconsistent ball team. Which is why the unsophisticated cockiness of OP's post is naive. They probably should've posted that on the Vol's board, where overzealous takes might make slightly more sense.
