What is the purpose of an LSU message board?

1. Is it a forum for everybody to heap praise upon the university ? ( most notably athletics )
2. Is it a forum for everyone to state their opinion on the state of the University ? ( most notably athletics )
I dont like NegaTigers, but i dislike Positigers even more, because on this site ( they are satisfied with mediocrity and boarder on insane).

This is one of the most lenient forums I've ever seen...
The freedom is great on this site but its also the downfall. By the admins allowing a more free speech forum, it brings tons of unnecessary negativity out.
If Chicken and the other admins wanted a stricter forum, I'd be all for it. Their is a fine line of being critical about your university and then just being borderline retarded. I wonder just how many people from other schools make troll alts with "LSU fan" under their name just to try and give LSU fans a bad image.
We have our retard fans for sure but some of the comments on this site make me question how people can call themselves a LSU fan...

there's nothing wrong with being positive and supporting your school of choice.. especially LSU.

Not at all. However, I see no problem in being critical about Miles and rest of the staff. Just as long as its kept intelligent. Minor jokes are ok, IMO. But calling his wife names and such is a little too far.
I also agree that Positigers are more annoying too. Its great you have so much pride for your university but please come back to reality sometimes. In their eyes, LSU could go with 6-7 losses every year and they could do no wrong. Crowton could continue to call bubble screens on the 50 yard line, with 30 seconds left, no TOs and they'd still love him.
Why would anyone want their program to stick to mediocrity like that? In the overall scheme of things, it hurts the university, especially financially. LSU is not USCe, MSU, Kentucky or Vanderbilt. Lets keep it that way.
