I like doing all the shifts and the up tempo of the offense. Much improved over the last decade. What we are missing is a guy who can get out of the pocket and pick up yardage running the ball. Numerous times last year the receivers were not found when the pocket collapsed and all the QB needed to do was take off to pick up the first down. McMillian showed some flashes but didn't look downfield when he tried to run. In my opinion, Narcisee could be the man if he is healthy and learns the system. He can throw and is a good runner. He is a man and I hope he can find the field in some way real soon. I know it's early and a lot can happen until the first game.

We are missing a QB that is comfortable and knowledgeable with all the check downs.

I think it will be better by fall but nobody on this team is as good as the Pitt QB Canada had last year.

I love this forum. Always want the second stringer off the bench or in this situation, probably the 4th string freshman. When those hopes finally happen and they end up sucking it's the cycle that continues. You and everyone else on here should have lowered expectations. Miles screwed this team in the QB area and even if Narcisse/Brennan are the answer it will be at least a few more years before they're ready. Narcisse is one more knee injury away from never playing again I'd rather not hurry him in the offense.

Etling is not the answer. Neither is Mcmillan or Scott. Etling was a Purdue castoff on a horrible team and played decent last year...until he went against defenses that had any pulse to them. Scott and Mcmillan were backup plans at QB because they couldn't land the blue chip recruits. The QB cupboard was barren when Miles left. These are the facts and you need to let it soak in. Etling will be average and do his job at times but don't expect him to look good in games like Bama. He plays hard but he's just not that talented against teams that can compete against LSU's athleticism. Throwing Narcisse and Brennan to the wolves is suicide especially when Brennan looks like he'd get snapped in half during SEC play and look like that scene from Not Another Teen Movie.

It's beginning to look like Elting will start, after all.

All this. There is probably no good answer at QB this year.
