How does this......
quote:

Its the coaching that will lose us the game.

We have the talent but no discipline and very poor execution.

Now both DE's are out. There goes the pass rush.

I will pray and cheer for a win, but damn sure wouldnt put money on it.

answer this......

Again, what does this Florida team do to make you so sure it's going to win?

All i see is you're pointing out the negatives on the LSU football team.

What does Florida do to make you so scared of them?

All Les has to do is start Lee. Easy is that. You have a national championship caliber defense. We need a few good sustaining drives.

Coaches should put the players in position to win the game, not players should put coaches in position to win the game, because Miles fails at it.

I think we can beat florida and at least one of the Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn games. That pretty much would assure a 10 win season. Miles will be pack in that scenario. So yes this game could make or break Miles.

They DONT have Les Miles as a coach! Thats all they need really! We just almost lost to a high school caliber team coached by a rookie huckelberry hound!

We used to get by on talent alone when that talent had been coached up from previous coaching. Thats not the case anymore.

I'm scared to death with Lee against this secondary. With some of the decisions he makes against those athletes it just screams interceptions. That said, Lee looks to be the only way we have a chance to move the ball and in that case, he's definitely worth the risk. We just have to go to the run early and often and see if we can catch some of these inexperienced front seven guys out of position.

Florida is beatable and I don't understand (other than you still being pissed over the weekend) how one can go about thinking this is an unwinnable game.

This game is definitely winnable. I would argue that Florida is more beatbale now than they have been since Meyer and Miles came to the SEC.

However, I have ZERO faith that Miles can prepare the tigers to take advantage.

Hell no. I never said LSU was going to win this game, did I?

But I'm not 100% matter-of-fact sure that Florida is going to win just because I'm crying over spilled milk.

No crying here. As I said before, this team looks exactly like I thought they would except a little better on defense. But we havnt played a team with any offense yet either.

This will continue the downward trend as long as Miles is the coach. I like the guy but he is not SEC coach material.

How about posting? If LSU wins, I wont post anymore this season. If Fla wins, you wont!

Step up!

-home field advantage
-their good defens against our still unproven offense
-don't think that our defense and our special teams can win this one for us.

I know alot of people say stats are for losers, but lets look at a few through this week's games:

Total Offense per game

LSU Fla
326.6 339.8 difference = -13 yds/gm

Rushing Offense per game
LSU Fla
195.6 151 difference = +44.6 yds/gm

Passing Offense per game
LSU Fla
131 188.8 difference = -57.8 yds/gm

Scoring Defense
LSU Fla
12.4 17.6 difference = -5.2 pts/gam

Total Defense
LSU Fla
246.6 291 diff. = -44.5 yds/game

Passing Defense
LSU Fla
167.6 181.8 diff. = -14.2

Rushing Defense
LSU Fla
79 109.2 diff. = -30.2

Schedule
LSU Fla
UNC Miami(Ohio) advantage LSU
Vanderbilt USF Toss Up
Miss. St Tenn Toss UP
West Virginia Kentucky Toss Up
Tenn. Alabama advantage Fla (loss)

Even with all of the issues we have - which have been outlined ad nauseum, on paper this matchup is a good one for LSU, offenses are close, LSU defense is better - if we both achieve season averages this will be a very close game barring a colossal coaching screw-up (which with our staff is always a possibility). I prefer to be a Tiger fan and think we win this one in another close, ugly battle.
