In my opinion, I definitely agree with the other ranters such as cubsgrace. Les even said himself that the way Lee played with all the pick 6's were very surprising because he did not do this in practice. With all this in mind, this is not like last season where we did not have quarterback going into spring practice. We already know who the quarterback is going to be. Now, I'm not saying that the other quarterbacks don't have a chance because they do. However, the way that JJ managed the game at GT and brought the tigers to victory after we were picked to be blown out says it all. He also didn't have time to develop all season long like Lee and had limited playing time. It's JJ's job to lose, but either way I will support any tiger because that is what "True Fans" do.

They had every right to boo his pathetic performance.

He gets a free education to play football, if he can't handle it then he can leave.

paying fans in the stadium have a right to do anything they want.
not saying it's the right thing to do, because I would never boo a player for the team I root for, but the paying fans DO have a right.
who's to say they don't?
you?

Practice does NOT equate to game peformance. For all the idiots that say JJ played one good half against GT, you're all morons. The game was over and LSU changed their game plan. Please watch the games before you make yourself look stupid. He was 11/12 at halftime! Then, we took are foot off the gas and you want to say he played bad? Did you see that 80 yard bomb (yes I know it got called back)?
If you want to see bad watch JL. Lee could beat out Jefferson, but only if Jefferson performs poorly in GAMES. This practice crap has got to stop. Jefferson is the starter. He will not relinquish that position until he pulls many "JLs" in a GAME.
I can guess the next response. "Then why hasn't Miles named a starter already?"
Response: Competiton will improve both of them. There is no reason to declare while the QBs are so young.

Yes, I did. Wow, was that a beauty or what? Other ranters were saying that JJ didn't have an arm. Well, that played sure proved otherwise. As far as naming a starter, I believe the reason why Les hasn't came out and said anything is because it is already obvious who is the starter. Again, it's not like we are going in to spring practice with unproven quarterbacks like last year. It's JJ's job to lose!

He has the "right" to be just as big a douchebag as they are. I certainly hope he doesn't because it would be an embarassment to LSU and make him look like an immature little punk. But, that's true for them, too.

And, obviously, I would be very surprised to see Lee behave as poorly as those fans have. Nothing I have seen has suggested he is anywhere near as pathetic a human being as they all are; so I see no reason to expect him to start.

The JJ would really suck.

so how do you explain ark 2nd half?
I saw JJ throw some ill-advised passes in the 2nd half against GT, double coverage, overthrown, underthrown balls, fumbled, runs too quick at times outa pocket.
YOu should either re-watch game, or really reconsider who you call a moron.
You "knowing" who's gonna start next year is you opoinion, and to think either wont or cant improve for next seaon shows who the real fuking idiot is.

Furthermore, are we going to have to see this same stupid thread every fricking day to the kickoff of the '09 season?
Why can't we just agree to support whichever quaterback is playing?
What originality posting this same old thread daily, or multiple times per day.

Then 3 questions would pop in my head immediately:
1. Didnt Miles and Crowton think we had a better chance of winning with Lee over Jefferson last year? What did that get us?
2. Is Lee John Elway and Joe Montanna in practice but Mr Pick 6 in games?
3. Is Jarrett Lee the illegitimate son of either Crowton or Miles?

What if Notre Dame won the Nat'l championship next year? Seriously though, it wont happen.
Posted on 1/16/09 at 12:20 pm to DBG
I don't think you beat someone out of a position in spring drills or practice. JJ won the spot on the playing field. I would have to say that left handed shuffle pass to Scott cemented it. I think it will be a two man race between JL and RS for backup.
