You say that like the SECCG and the BCSCG are exactly the same as a regular season game against Northwestern State or Kentucky or Ole Miss.

the argument is a failure. You can't apply a removal of data points based on arbitrary reasons, and then apply the rationale selectively.

Two data points
What happens to these comparisons when Lee's worst two data points are excluded?

if we can;t come to common ground on what set of data to compare the two, then this argument will go nowhere.
Do you think the SECCG and the BCSCG were representative or typical of Jefferson's performance in 2011?

Excellent, seems balanced ... not sure I am keeping up with the point of this thread.

your model ... just trying to help you along with consistency. Keeps arguments regarding arbitrary/adverse selection down.

I think it's been pretty much accepted that Jefferson and Lee were on equal footing in 2011... aside from that, it's mostly a pissing contest over selection of data samples.

So you're going to pull the outlier card?
well, we can actually look at that, although with such a small sampling, the probability of either performance showing as an outlier is near zero.

I refuse to read 29 pages, just reading the last few posts told me all I needed to know. Educated guess...JJ's family trying to convince us how awesome he was, and comparing him to several NFL stars and the Les apologists making their case for what a great decision Les made sticking with him no matter how horrible because JL threw too many interceptions in 2008.

Stating facts about a qbs career is in no way trying to convince people JJ was awesome. They are a facts, backed up by stats.

No one has come close to saying this.

All these wonderful stats don't matter at all.
The only one that matters is this one immutable truth:
11-17 53 yds and 1 pick....in what was arguably the biggest game in LSU history.
There is no metric to explain this. And for those saying JL would have fared no better......there is no metric to predict that either with any certainty. His hands are clean where that game is concerned.
Miles and JJ share the blame for that debacle, and unfortunately for JJ, this will be his legacy at LSU.

For the uneducated masses of the tigah rant, sure.
For everyone else, not necessarily.

Only to idiots that ignore the absolute shite play by the oline. Hell it wasn't even shite play it was NO play. It was a damn disgrace. That game is the legacy of the offensive line first, last, always. The bama front 7 lived in the damn backfield the whole game. Like I have said before if we had Peyton Manning and Emmitt Smith in the backfield it would not have made a difference. When you know nothing about football besides turning on the TV to watch the game it's very easy to blame the coach and the qb. You have to know what to look for before you fix blame. Otherwise you simply prove Ron White's law. You can't fix stupid.

Point taken. Makes you wonder WHY the line played that poorly on that night after having been pretty dominant all year to include TGOC, doesn't it.

Lineman can always do a looksee block for QBs they don't like. Just saying.

There is no justifiable reason for dogging it. None. If they purposely played badly they are lower than whale shite. Anyone attempting to say that it's ok to do so is also lower than whale shite.

That's you're opinion. I think an exhibition game that goes in zero ncaa record books IS NOT as big a game as the seccg.
