didn't necessarily mean he's tops on my list. I'd love to make Stevens turn down 3 million....

I'd avoid him, Mike Brey is the only former coach K assistant to have consistent success.

This is my first choice. My biggest problem is that LSU CAN do this. We won't, but we can...we have the ability

I think Wojo is going to be a great coach when he gets the chance. But that is just it, you have to take the big chance. I'd rather get a proven guy and pay him

I don't see any way LSU would throw that kind of money at anyone, but I seriously doubt Stevens would even consider it. He's a god where he is and will be a front runner for the next top 5 job to open up.

True but fans everywhere were clamoring for Johnny Dawkins for years and he's nothing special at Stanford. Granted somebody left him a pretty empty cupboard.

I don't think he'd consider it either. But you make him tell you no.

Getting paid that kind of money drastically improves the LSU job. lol. They could sell him the opportunity to be the program builder the coach K for LSU. all that stuff.

Never thought Dawkins would pan out either. Wojo just has always had that "coach" personality even as a player he exuded it. Again, I'd rather have a proven guy and pay the man, but.....

if we are looking for someone from within the lsu family, i would have thought shaq would be the obvious choice. he sure would get the fan base excited if nothing else.

I could just imagine the outrage of fans if we offered someone $3M... During Year 1: "OMG we are 10-2 in OOC play, FIRE STEVENS NOW!"

(I do like Stevens as a hire btw)
