Gave LSU no credit. No surprise there. Rece and Holtz both gave LSU credit, so was a little surprised with Holtz.

Still don't know. It was absolute domination the last part of the game and LSU just didn't put it away.

Just can't let Bama stay that close with the ability to win in one drive.

Holtz actually said the better team lost tonight.
So we won the eye test.

Yes he did but with him I think it is only to make ND look better.
Makes sense.

miles and chavis cracked under pressure. it's that simple. i honestly think tracy wolfson's comment might have affected him, which means he actually let his ego factor into the game, which is surprising. he normally only EVER called a trick play if they had seen something specific on film. like the onside kick was a good call - the wedge leader was leaving early and hairston would have had it if it weren't for the bounce. but the fage fg was just unconscionable - he saw they were lined up to play the fake, and then ran the fricking thing anyway. "Well, I'm the Mad Hatter, so wouldn't it just be awesome if it worked! It's what i do!" and then i think part of his decision to kick the 54 yarder was fueled by trying to make up for the first botch-job. then chavis panicks and resorts back to his old ways, and plays not to lose even though his db's had blanketed bama all game. before he knows it, they're in fg range, and he adjusts exactly when they expected him to. lsu loses.

fage fg: ego
54yd fg: stupidity
wasting two timeouts: panick
warecat up the gut on a d with about 11 guys between the tackles: ego
final drive defense: panick

That Les blew it by using 2 of the 4 trick plays, that he should not have done them. In particular the aggregious calls were the fake field goal and the Warecat. A high school coach would not have attempted those plays in those conditions. (the Warecat should have called a timeout and reassessed the situation or called another play, it was very poorly executed.)

I understand this, but we would never have been up 17-14 without les, we would never have gotten a shot against bama in the bcs championship without les. Credit and blame should always go to him. Not just when you choose to do so because you dont like the guy.

on the 50+ fg attempt, it looked liked Allemand slipped on his plant right has he was driving through the kick. It was right on. Has he made from that distance before?

Lou was comical
Scratching his fricking head and spitting all over himself trying to wrap his head around the fact that we dominated the game an stats but lost.
He just chuckled and said couldn't understand it

Mark may think les miles is one dumb fricking coach. Just shakes his head at miles.
