Knowing that we didn't have them on our schedule this year, I pretty much paid them zero attention, but realise they had an up an down year, but ultimately better than expected. Don't feel like we have much at stake, but would like to win just because we are keeping score and because I'd like to see some of the second tier pitchers get a chance to step up.

I know they already used their top two pitchers, but so did we.

Shores, Cowan, Evans, and Noot should pitch tomorrow. If they win throw someone you'll never see next weekend. Let the young guys work.

I haven’t watched much, so my input won’t mean a thing, but their defense against Florida looked like rec ball.

Yep. They've used up their bullpen, while we haven't thrown a single bullpen arm.

That alone gives us the edge.

Hate to say it probably won’t matter much - our bats are ice cold

Should be a high scoring, weak pitching event....

Idk but I have seen that Ole Miss has been mashed in most game 3’s during SEC play, so hopefully that bodes well for us

Ole Miss has already thrown their top 2 guys & burned a lot of their bullpen.

LSU is the favorite tomorrow.

Not saying we won’t win, but I haven’t seen anything lately that would make me believe we score a lot of runs. Our bats have been in the ice box for a while now.

So I dug a little bit. Their Sunday starter, RHP Mason Nicholls has not pitched yet.

50.2 IP 5.51 ERA. 1.60 WHIP. 57 Hits 51 SO. 24 BB 9 HR allowed

Hopefully Cheat Code Against Righties Jake Brown does his thing tomorrow.

Their only starter with an ERA under 6.00 in SEC games pitched in Game 1. Morris went 2.1 IP and 36 pitches in that game and 1.2 IP and 15 pitches today. He had the most SEC innings out of the pen. Their Saturday starter with a 6.37 ERA went today. Connor Spencer, with the best ERA in league play, closed out both games pitching 1 inning in each. He had 13 IP in 9 appearances in SEC play, so even if he isn’t burned, he’s not pitching much more than 1 inning. Will McCausland, with the second best ERA out of the pen in league play, threw 30 pitches today.

So, what’s left? Their Sunday starter with a 6.06 ERA in league play who only had 35.2 IP in 10 starts, another arm with a 6.00 ERA in 18 IP, and a few guys with less than 10 IP in SEC games and ERAs at 4.91 or worse, then maybe Spencer to close it out for an inning, perhaps McCausland for a brief outing.

5.51 ERA.

Same as the A&M reliever that went 10 up, 10 down against us tonight

We can't hit the baseball unless it's a strikeout or a lucky hit.
