I'm starting to feel like the optics of the last 24 hours is a coordinated effort between the LSU admin and the NCAA to end LSU's season tonight.

Alleva already admitted:

As we have done since media reports first surfaced months ago, we are closely coordinating with the NCAA with every step

I really hope I'm wrong...

I would hope not. But anything's possible with Alleva and Alexander.

Unless more stuff gets leaked between now and then 0%. If more calls get leaked with names of more players and more explicit payment details then all bets are off.

I'm unclear if the three phone calls mentioned with Wade are the only calls that exist in the entire record, in which case there shouldnt be much more, or if those are the only three that have leaked, in which case there likely is more.

Why would it be? Nobody with LSU is under investigation. The NCAA has known exactly what was on those tapes this entire time, so what has suddenly changed with them? The NCAA must show cause to suspend a team from post-season play and they have not investigated or contacted Wade regarding any wrong doing. Many other programs have been caught doing much worse and have not been banned from post-season play. If LSU officials are going to self impose a ban on post-season play they should have just self imposed the death penalty and sat out this entire season. The only catastrophe here is LSU officials and the public for making assumptions.

You do realize the season can go on and this has happened before:

“Will Tony Benford be the 2019 version of Steve Fisher at Michigan back in 1989?

He’s got the dudes to make a run. In 1989, Michigan dismissed head coach Bill Frieder right before the NCAA Tournament. Fisher led the Wolverines to a national title after that. Can Benford do the same with the Tigers?”

This is what worries me.
