Down 17-0 in what looked like a game that might get out of hand, the young men made a great comeback led by the defense. The offense leaves a lot to be wanted but our guys fought hard to win this game. I was extremely impressed with the grit to pull off a comeback in a rowdy Jordan Hare.

My only true complaint is with the long slow developing routes. With less skilled QB’s you have to give them a lot of easy options. I did see Daniels go through his progressions more than in past games. But when you have 3-4 receivers on deep breaking routes every play with a line that barely holds up, it’s not doing the QB any favors.

The receivers have to do more to help their QB’s also. Nuss had 3 of his 4 incompletions as dropped passes. He had one bad rushed throw but considering the circumstances he was thrown in I won’t hold that against him.

But at the end of the day they got the win. We can’t have a slow start against Tennessee though.
