right after they lost? do it later not when LSU is celebrating.
They do it after every game in every sport - win or lose. It's a small piece of tradition, but i think it's gay.

Good Call. I live in Texas and all I heard was" LSU is cheating they don't deserve to win." Texas fans believe they are better than everyone else in america. I use to Hate living in Texas now I realize I just hate living with Texans. To go out there and do that silly little longhorn thing was incredibly pathetic and a attempt to hang on to whatever form of glory they had before the loss.

The fingers are "hook em" which I'm sure you know. They have pride in their team and in their school just as we do.
I see no need to trash them. They played hard and came within an eye lash of beating us. One thing for sure they knocked the cover off the ball, either home runs or fouls.
Let's be gracious winners.

It was a great series. And Texas stayed on the field and watched us celebrate and then shook everyones hands. They had a great season. They salute their fans after the game. Nothing to see here. Move on.

I live in Texas and all of the longhorns that I have spoken with have been gracious and dare I say, somewhat humble. They gave LSU all the props this morning. Maybe you hang around too many douche bags. Change your friends.
but, I'll never pull for Texas in any sport either.

The way I see it is payback for trashtalking is a bitch. You should have read some of the vile crap they've posted on their board over the last few days. I'm not saying they are all like that, but the ones who do, are horrendously bad.

Right, so we should all stoop down to that level and show our arse right along with them... Got it.

This is the problem with society. It's no longer okay to lose. You are now the second winner. This is apart of life LOSING. It happens, and the pic was from game 2 but they did it in game 3 also while LSU was celebrating. This is exaclty how texas fans are and is why they are hated by TT Texas AM OU and anyone else who has to see UT fan every year. Don't get me wrong we Tiger fans aren't perfect but we have more class than longhorn fan. It's only them too. I have several Sooner fans and Aggie fans and they aren't half as bad.

As an LSU fan I travel to Austin every year to attend a UT football game and have to say that UT fans are probably the classiest fans in the country. They rarely are obnoxious and are usually very friendly people.
The "hook'em" is long standing tradition that a fan or cheerleader started I believe in the '50s. The football team after each game; home or away; win or lose stands in front of the band with "hook 'em" raised while the band plays the "Eyes of Texas", which I believe is the state song. Obviously the band isn't at the baseball games, but I believe they sing it anyway as respect for the tradition and the fans. It looks a little classless I agree, to do it while LSU is celebrating, but it's their tradition.
