So.... You would like the guy that, as a HEAD COACH, who got smoked by us, as an OC?
I think its kind of a silly idea myself. But, not at all because Weis can't coordinate an offense.
Your reasoning sort've precludes from any worry about anyone needing to include you in a serious discussion about football.
Quick question: Who was Kansas City's Starting Quarterback last year? Yeah, it didn't come off the top of my head last year, either. Yet, using some crappy QB play, an unknown TE, D-Bowe at WR, & a combination of Thomas Jones & Jamaal Charles, he shredded people in the NFC West last year.
This was while taking off to deal with health problems.
That offense hummed last year, and it was because of Weis. Anyone who can't or refuses to see the guy can scheme and coach an offense is...well...They're pretty dumb.
He couldn't be a head coach. He couldn't recruit. But the guy knows offense.
By this rationale, you would've never wanted Nick Saban as a head coach, since Gerry DiNardo "smoked" him.
Great take. Good logic behind it. Keep posting!
