Not mad at all, showed promise his Fr year then seemed to decline or was hurt, Charles started at RG so I see no reason he can't slide over to RT and compete with Deculus and Magee to see who's best, my money is on Charles, Traore and Savage can compete at LT, I also believe there's a good chance Rosenthal ends up at a OT spot....Id rather lose him than Brum or Clapp

Weathersby will make about $1.2 million over three years before his NFL career is done if (and it’s a big if) he stays injury free. He will never make it to his second contract. If he were a Gump, they would make sure he understood this and understood that sticking through it would be in his long term best interest. But he’s not, and so he’ll just be another guy, retired from the nfl at 25 like so many former Tigers
Your post is illogical. If you don't expect him to last over his three year term of his contract as an undrafted free agent, why would his NFL career be longer after adding another year of SEC wear and tear to his body before he starts getting paid? Unless, of course, he has a career ending injury as a senior. Then he won't have to worry about his NFL salary potential at all.
I believe a rookie UFA three year contract was worth between $1,650,000 and 1,700,000 in 2017. (I'm positive it was $1.575 million in 2015.) Rookie salary was $465,000 and increases by ~$90,000 per year ... $555,00 in 2018 and $645,000 in 2019. If the past few years are indicative of 2018's rookie minimum, he'll get a 3 year deal worth ~$1,695,000.
How many 22 year old kids do you know who averaged over $500,000 per year their first three years out of college?
