Wearable Electronics

After the game was over they showed the team walking down to the outfield team huddle. As they were heading down they were all reaching into their backs by their shoulders and pulled something electronic out and put it into a case setup on the foul line. Anyone know what those devices do?

they call pitches with little microphones now

I knew they called pitches with microphones but it just seemed like everyone had a device. Does every player have one and gets to hear the pitch called?

Yeah. It tips pitches based on trash can banging.

I guess the game has finally advanced technologically so the catcher isn’t giving finger ball codes in his crotch to the pitcher and the skipper in the dugout isn’t sending body signals to the players as though he is having seizure.
And with all the recent allegations of signal stealing or recording tech available you could pretty much crack the code illegally if you wanted to roll the dice of getting caught.
