Another thing you could look at is this, how many 18 and 19 year olds can play 9 straight games of any level football and not be worn down? Through the first 4 games of the year our D did't allow a team over 300 yards on offense (Auburn got 150+ yards once the game was over so yeah). Then we played a mostly healthy UGA, a duel threat QB which gives any team problems in MSU, dominated Florida, and shut down Ole Miss once the D realized it had sucked for a half. You could see in the Furman game that our guys were just worn down. Those young freshmen and sophomores will be rested and energetic again. I expect our D to look similar to the TCU game.

To me, this is the most glaring point.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I expect that we'll look similar to how we looked against Florida...........although I do expect Mett to throw more than 17 passes.

As I watched the Ole Miss game, I noticed that although Mett threw those three interceptions, on each of those drives we were moving the ball at will. We should've had 21 pts at the half and finished with our normal 45 pts. Mett, won't make those same mistakes in this game. We will score in this game. The question is which defense will show up? The one that played well against TCU and Florida, or the one that played against UGA?

Keys to the game:

Offense:

Mett needs to make the right checks at the line.
Find the blitzer and recognize the coverage
Win the numbers battle.
Count the box and audible to run or pass based on the numbers and keep it balanced
Win first down so we dont end up in 3rd and long.
see above
Hill needs to run as hard as woodpecker lips.
and Miles needs to give it to him
No drops from the receivers
Saban will man up and not be scared..make him pay

Defense

Tackle well all game.
dont let #4 make a fool of you
Keep the D-line fresh
Rotate everybody you got to keep them fresh so you dont get your arse run on all game. Burn redshirts if you have to.
Secondary, dont alow the big play.
Know your assignment in coverage and dont make communication errors
Pressure McCarron
If you knock him down, he will cry
Linebackers have to make plays.
Bama loves to drag TE's and RB's underneath. LB's need to find Bama safety valve

Special Teams

Make the catch first.
We have a great offense so OBJ needs to worry less about making a big return and more about securing the ball
Dont miss the extra point.
Each point is crucial in a game like this
No muff punts!!!!
Dont give Bama a short field

Coaching

No silly fakes in scoring position
Always take the points Miles!!
Make the timeouts count.
save them for the final drive of each half
Have a great day
