Wasted a great opportunity to win a national championship? Yes. Every team with a top Defense or Offense that didn’t win a natty wasted a great chance to win the ultimate goal. And with LSUs offense this year we’re not even taking about the best offense this season, but one of the very best of all time. This season will always be looked back on as “what could have been”. It can still be a big building block to establish LSU as a program that is enticing to elite QB recruits, and JD and LSU can get a heisman, but with a merely average defense this season would stand next to 2019, and that opportunity was wasted.
