wasn't possession

You're being intellectually dishonest for the sake of playing devil's advocate. The question is not about arguing/proving there was possession. The question is whether there was indisputable video evidence that there was not possession before the ball was touched by the OOB player (that's the standard for overturning the call on the field).

I'm not sure anyone can watch that video and honestly make that claim. The officials got caught up and mixed up their standards of proof.

Look from the front angle u could not tell from the side. It was tipped. Get the damn call right u hv instant replay or just stop using instant replay.

It wasn't possession. Get over it.

With all due respect, you are incorrect.

While it may not be the result of directed bias, the SEC officiating clearly has some problems. This call is a perfect example of some of the issues. Using replay to parse out "degrees of possession" is absurd and causes inconsistency. This is the kind of stuff that can make fans question impartiality.

There is nothing in the rules that says Brooks does not have possession. Feel free to challenge that. It's simply some replay official's interpretation (and yours). Prior interpretations in similar circumstances (i.e., loose ball on the ground), which were backed up by appeals and a formal protest to SEC officials, argue that Brooks absolutely had possession (see Kellen Mond, 2018). And, importantly, the official on the field thought he had possession.

We got two PI calls that could’ve easily been picked up . Both led directly to touchdowns. I ain’t complaining.

That personal foul that got negated was the worse. Daniels was in full slide and Bama defender clearly hits him. Refs said defender didn't touch him....bullshitee. That call alone should have let you know how the game was being officiated.

I didnt think the defender hit JD5. However it was a clear and obvious attempt to target. The defender tucked his hands and lowered his chin. Not sure if attempt to target is a penalty.
