Conversely neither is Georgia. So makes a lot of sense to leave them both out

Bama is good, Georgia is too. Our hatred for those two teams aside, deep down we know that they would have just as good as chance as Michigan or Washington to win the whole thing, hell maybe a better chance.

Doesn't negate the fact that they should be penalized for their losses.

I mean a 2 loss Alabama might be favored over some of the playoff teams. Doesn't mean they should still make it in.

Agreed, neither should be in when you compare them to the other teams vying for the final spots.

So the team that's not only lost 2 games in like 3 years but also won back-to-back titles isn't good?

If Bama or UGA played whatever playoff team you want to put in front of them, there's not a single team you would bet real $$$ on to win against them. I doubt you would bet on Texas beating Bama right now.

Disagree. SEC is down this year. Shows in cross conference play.

SEC is down this year, Bama and Georgia's defenses are still bigger and faster than anything that will be in the playoff this year.

But they won't be in the playoffs, nor should they be. What happens over the course of the season should matter, because what's the point if it all comes down to a committee picking based on subjective feelings in the end?
