good point, but when they do, they are excellent batting practice pitchers.

Exactly, and Evans was no ace. JJ was dreaming about an Evans in the future because the Evans we saw was way too inconsistent and gave up way too many runs. Schmidt is a freshman and obviously not yet an ace.

What ever you do, don’t blame the guy in charge of pitching. He’s the best pitching coach in the country. It’s not his fault that EVERY pitcher on this team is worse than they were at LSU last year or the school that they transferred from. I guess that it’s just baseball.
